Your role will be to act as the primary interface with the customer to manage specific programs and projects on behalf of the customer account to achieve the planned revenue and profits. The challenge will be to oversee complex product development and commercialization by coordinating with cross-functional teams from Global Regions (such as Canada, USA, China, Thailand, and Europe). It will be your job to coordinate with site customer focused teams, launch new programs and meet the contractual commitments, and exceed our customers’ expectations in the design and development of products that improve yields, increase reliability, and deliver cost savings.
 

 

Your day- to-day activities will include…

 

  • developing detailed project plans that include work breakdown structures, schedules, budget tracking and cost profiles to achieve project objectives.
  • tracking and directing activities related to project plans, coordinating action plans with the sites to correct out-of-plan condition
  • interfacing with the customer and the Global Celestica teams in managing specific programs to achieve planned objectives and management of process associated with tracking, directing, prioritizing, and delivering on key projects.
  •  Co-coordinating and hosting regular program tracking meetings to help achieve planned revenue
  • Receiving and resolving customer issues and complaints
  • Participating in the pricing /bid preparation process and contract development and management
  • Monitoring the impact on inventory of order changes and establishing procedures and charges for the customer
  • Analyzing performance relative to targets and developing/implementing plans to address problems
  • Supporting account planning, strategy, development and sales
  • Co-coordinating and managing the activities of a New Products Administrator supporting new products/programs and developing projects

The Management Team in Galway are specialized in automated manufacturing and provides manufacturing and assembly services, configure to order, logistics solutions and technical support throughout the various stages of the product lifecycle. It has a number of customers in the Industrial and Health tech sectors.

 

There is a team of over 200 employees based at the Galway site where the Quality and Engineering team is composed of more than 40 specialist engineers.

What do we expect from you?

 

  • Broad knowledge of electro/mechanical medical device manufacturing environment, materials and processes
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 Medical Device Quality Management Systems and other medical device industry standards, regulations, and directives
  • Experience managing multiple, detailed projects to a successful end while working under tight time deadlines
  • Excellent customer contact, negotiation and problem resolution skills
  • Excellent presentation, database management and computer skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal and external customers
  • Fluency in financial costing is required
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the following:
    Engineering design and development

Product pricing, contracts and contract negotiations
Process development and implementation
Test, quality, and production in a highly dynamic manufacturing environment
Materials, Supply Chain, and components used in the manufacturing of electro-mechanical systems, printed circuit boards and subassemblies

 

 

What are we looking for?

 

A person with nine or more years of relevant experience in the development of medical devices. A person with demonstrated experience leading multi-site/multi-country projects to a successful conclusion. This person should have a minimum of 5 years of experience building & leading diverse teams from various internal and external organizations. We are particularly interested with candidates that have a Bachelor’s degree in their related field and advanced studies in Program Management (such as PMI / PGMP certification) or equivalence through experience.
