Responsible for the maintenance or contracts to maintain all equipment, forklifts, company truck, facilities, storage sheds, warehouse, and grounds. Perform complex technical work, working across skilled trade areas.


REPORTS TOTooling Supervisor



  • Coordinates activities of the Maintenance personnel, as well as outside services including janitorial, lawn and snow removal services.
  • Reviews all Maintenance Repair Operations Requisitions (MRO’S) generated by Maintenance Department before submittal for sign off. Purchase all Maintenance supplies, tools, janitorial supplies and misc. for the facility.
  • Monitors department work load and discusses overtime required to complete projects with Operations Leadership.
  • Responsible for performing preventative maintenance, making repairs, ordering repair parts and or supplies to support production schedule requirements in the most time and cost effective methods.   Repairs may include but are not limited to production equipment, heating, refrigeration, water treatment systems, miscellaneous plumbing, air compressors, fork lift trucks, hoists, die carts, pallet jacks, etc.
  • Recommends training for personnel.
  • Provides input to the capital equipment budget.
  • May do electrical work within the limitations of Maintenance Electricians license.
  • Requests quotes, reviews proposals, recommends and monitors chosen vendors for building security system, fire alarm system, snow removal, lawn care services and janitorial services.
  • Creates cards for security system-fire alarm, issues building keys, and maintains list of access rights granted.
  • Trains employees on the use of building alarm system, and use of equipment as required.
  • Keeps walkways safe, entrances to buildings free of snow and operational, trims trees, and shrubs as needed, maintains parking lot and outside building lights.  Maintains warehouse accordingly.
  • Responsible for monitoring condition of National flag and flying appropriately as per rules governing.
  • Coordinates supplies, tooling, and equipment transferred to and from offsite warehouse.
  • Maintains company truck in a manner to meet Department Of Transportation requirements.
  • Supports installation of new equipment as necessary.
  • Secures all outside bids for electrical, plumbing, heating and air conditioning repairs, or other special services as required.
  • Estimates time and materials required to perform job assignments.
  • Responsible for the duties of the company designated Lock-Out Tag-Out Coordinator.
  • Performs individual job duties and supports manufacturing in meeting all ISO and AS 9100 requirements.
  • Supports the activities required implementing and maintaining the company’s strategic objectives along with continuous improvement activities or cost reduction activities.
  • Performs all work functions in a safe, organized, and ergonomic manner.
  • Ensures that all maintenance, installations, and tasks performed comply with all State, Federal, and local codes.
  • Maintains confidentiality on any information shared by management in order to better perform job functions.
  • Communicates all broken equipment, or unsafe conditions to the Engineering Manager, Production Manager and Human Resources.
  • Aids in setting up seating and accommodations to support company functions such as monthly meetings, company visits, or special events.
  • Operates and provides training on forklifts, pallet trucks, and specialized lifts as required.
  • May perform janitorial duties or other maintenance duties when necessary to meet work unit goals. 
  • May be required to train other employees and assist in orientation of new employees.

  • High School education required.
  • Completion of an Apprenticeship, Associates Degree or Trade School training is preferred, plus a minimum of 3 years related experience in multiple skilled trade areas such as carpentry, plumbing, masonry, HVAC, hydraulics, compressed air systems, electricity and related areas.
  • Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment failure and problems.
  • Able to use power tools, equipment and machinery in areas of specialization.
  • Able to prioritize, assign work and train others, as needed.
  • Able to communicate with other departments to solve process and operational problems.  
  • Considerable knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trades involved.
  • Job duties require working with and around chemicals and basic knowledge of Hazardous Materials. 
  • Requires basic computer skills.
  • Work requires walking, stooping, climbing, crouching, carrying, reaching, pushing, pulling and kneeling, climbing, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling.  
  • Heavy lifting is required. 
  • Must be able to work from ladders and on top of the facility roof. 
  • Follows oral and written instructions. 
  • Scheduled overtime may be required.
