Performs inspection on incoming raw material to meet IQA requirement and may also conduct in-process and finished product inspection to verify acceptability of products to industry and customer requirements. Additionally, records the inspection results into the manufacturing data collection system.

Detailed Description: Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
  • Perform Inspections on the raw material & products by using the IQA & In-process tools/equipment to verify acceptability, and record the inspection results. Separate and return non-conforming materials, both parts and products, to appropriate person(s).
  • Verify and records manufacturing part numbers and product traceability information
  • Raise NCMR (Non Conforming Material Report) when material or products don't meet specifications. Monitors product quality problems and escalates to Quality Team Leader
  • Performs routine tasks relating to quality records/ reporting.
  • Maintains good housekeeping as well as 5S practices

  • Basic English reading and tying knowledge
  • Knowledge on IPC610, IPC600, customer requirements and other required industry standards
  • Knowledge of sampling plan procedure (AQL)
  • Knowledge on operating the basic tools, ie., vernier caliper, micrometer, multimeter and etc.
  • Knowledge on the basic materials characteristic, eg. Electronics components, mechanical components etc.
  • Must possess specific certifications as defined by site operations.
  • Knowledge of the inspection requirements, customer requirements (IPC-A-610, workmanship, cosmetic spec.) and procedures including the tools and equipment used in the inspection process.
  • Knowledge of sampling plan procedure (AQL)
  • Basic manufacturing system knowledge
  • Ability to maintain accurate and organized documentation on product quality.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of internal customers Computer usage skill

    Physical Demands:
  • The job works in conditions with frequent exposure (34% - 66%) to noise, odours, dust, drafts, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, hazardous substances, etc.
  • Duties may require Repetitive lifting of light objects (under 5 kg.), repetitive lifting of heavy objects (over 5 kg.), repetitive manual movements (e.g., keyboarding), carrying, pushing or pulling light objects, (under 5 kg.), carrying, pushing or pulling heavy objects (over 5 kg.), crouching, climbing, sustained visual concentration on small areas, such as monitors, screens, precise eye/hand coordination, sustained visual concentration on numbers, legal documents
