We are currently seeking a Supply Chain Solutions Manager based out of the US to support our customers and our strategic sourcing organizations to develop executable supply chain solutions to enable customer value creation and fulfilment of our internal financial objectives. 

  • This is a US based Remote position available to be worked in any US location with reasonable access to an airport.  Travel will be up to 15%, as necessary, both domestic and international.
  • Requires flexibility to accommodate evening or early AM calls based on staff & customer locations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Sell CLS Supply Chain capabilities to our customers including leveraging the CLS organization to provide subject matter expert support.
  • Drive BOM Control / Increase source control with high passion and offering tradeoffs in the face of customer roadblocks.
  • Support the VAVE teams as assigned.  Ensure sure no duplication of MVP/VAVE project ideas and lead the teams to acceptable resolutions.
  • Serve as the bridge between Engineering and SCM; be able to efficiently navigate the organization to bring executable supply chain solutions.
  • Develop and implement proactive Risk Mitigation strategies to drive assurance of supply.
  • Support the development, growth, and utilization of CLS Demand Creation capabilities.
  • Support leadership in executing SCM strategies based on the Voice of the Customer.
  • Supports account planning and strategy development
  • Coordinates and hosts regular (as needed) SCM program tracking meetings with the customer and internal account team members to ensure ongoing communication and up-to-date progress/status reporting occurs.
  • Communicates frequently with customers to help ensure satisfaction with the company and the products. Solicits performance feedback and communicates information to internal teams and departments. Prepares, distributes and analyzes customer surveys and self-assessments as appropriate. Receives and resolves customer issues and complaints. Acts as a customer advocate to drive prioritization of projects and responses to problems/issues.

 

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Ability to effectively influence and motivate team members from a wide variety of departments and geographies in a matrixed environment.
  • Resolve conflict and offer alternative solutions to meet the customer’s needs.
  • Create and foster relationships between the Design Engineering and SCM organizations.

 

Skills Sets:

  • Able to interpret the customer’s needs and an understanding of their commodity knowledge and capabilities.
  • Full understanding of material spend leverage, how it creates customer value, and ability to execute on the opportunities.
  • Sell CLS PSL capabilities to our customers and drive closure of any gaps back to the Commodity Management teams.
  • Requirement to pursue opportunities with a ‘can-do’ & ‘high-energy’ attitude with a bias towards delivering results.
  • Significant skills required in multi-tasking and time management.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation and problem resolution skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

 

Experience:

  • 10+ years’ experience in a similar role in sourcing or procurement
  • Strong SCM understanding and background
  • Strong Financial acumen experience
  • Strong relationship-building capabilities – both internally and externally
  • Excellent written and presentation communication skills, presentable to all levels.
  • Ability to travel (up to 25%) as required.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field - Engineering background preferred

Location: This is a remote position, with travel as necessary. We are open to considering candidates close to any of our US locations in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Texas, Arizona, Oregon or California as well as locations near major airports such as the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest and Pacific Coast.
