We are currently seeking a Commodity Management Consultant based in Toronto. 
 
Requirements: 
•    Maintains responsibility for global and /or regional critical or high dollar commodity or coordination of group of commodity Analysts.
•    Provides direction for source selection and ensures proper process implementation.
•    Provides leadership to the Material Cost and Awards teams for New Business Sourcing Strategy deployment.
•    Provides commercial direction to the  Material Pricing team in support of Customer Materials Commitment process from materials pricing and customer BOM analysis perspective.  
•    Deployment of Distriution Commodity Strategy including performance reporting to senior management.
•    Quotes and negotiates critical high dollar or strategic commodities or provide the direction to team.
•    Manages the supplier relationships including performance feedback, supplier report card and problem resolution on New Business Quoting activity.
•    Conducts quarterly business reviews with senior management with key/strategic suppliers.
•    Provides guidance, leadership and direction with respect to interaction with suppliers.

•    Excellent Supplier Relationship Manangement skills

•    Strong understanding of EMS Suppliers, and respective Distribution network

•    Leads process development and development of supplier engagement strategies.

 

 

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:
•    Experience within EMS industry considered an asset
•    Expert knowledge of the marketplace conditions for a broad range of strategic commodities, industry pricing, technology, supply/demand and emerging trends.
•    Excellent understanding of global business environment and Customers business, organization, products and processes.
•    Ability to lead complex negotiations effectively.
•    Expert knowledge of office systems and analytical tools.
•    Expert problem solving skills to deal with Customer/ Supplier issues
•    Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion.
•    Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
•    Demonstrated ability to work effectively across functions and with suppliers/ customers to achieve Celestica’s goals
 
Experience & Education:
•    8-10 years of relevant experience 
•    Bachelors degree in relevant field (i.e Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain & Operations, Business etc.) 
•    Certification in Supply Chain considered an asset
