About this opportunity:
Working as part of a diverse global team, the Corporate Supply Chain Associate role will expose the candidate to international business operations and to new 'growth oriented' market sectors. This role is an exciting internship in a stimulating and challenging work environment with opportunities to develop skills, while working in a highly motivated team. This role is specific to students who are currently enrolled in an Engineering program (Electronics, Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial) and have completed their 3rd year. A successful candidate will be a team player who possesses strong analytical and interpersonal skills, have excellent systems and PC skills (database software and major desktop applications) good communication skills (written and verbal), able to learn quickly, self motivated and takes initiative. This would be a good starting opportunity for engineering candidates planning on obtaining a graduate business degree in the future.
Student will develop the following skills:
- Detailed understanding of supply chain analytics

- Comprehensive understanding of the electronics industry and supply base
- Supply chain optimization techniques

- Engineering (electronic/mechanical components, manufacturing, component engineering, drawings, specifications, etc.)

Summary of Responsibilities:
- This position requires the candidate to work as a member of the team or independently.
- This is a supply chain associate role within Corporate SCM Operations supporting our ATS customers for Industrial, Healthcare, Energy, and Aerospace & Defense.
- Effectively deliver timely reports and collaborate or manage projects.
- Responsibility would also involve tracking, analyzing and reporting on key projects (this includes technical engineering analysis for Engineering program interns)
- Support team members providing assistance with customer requested information, analytics, supplier proposals and/ or presentation material.
- The candidate will work with both the local and global team members.
Experience & Technical proficiencies:
- Proficient in MS Office application, particularly in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Professional written and oral communications skills
- Knowledgeable numerical skills (ability to analyze numbers)
- Good organizational and time management
Physical Demands, duties of this position are varied and will include:
- Duties of this position are performed in a normal office with exposure to manufacturing environments.
- Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data
- Repetitive manual movements are frequently required (e.g. data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.).
