This position involves technologies regulated by the Canadian government's "Controlled Goods Program". Candidates must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada. Job offers will be conditional upon candidates undergoing a successful security screening per the Controlled Goods Regulations.
About this opportunity:
Performs duties in line with specific area of study. Incumbent is attending a formal University or College Internship program from a recognized University or College.
Detailed Description:
- Receive, review and understand product data packages from our external customers.
- Complete bill of material, component and assembly data set up within Celestica's internal databases to enable material procurement and manufacturing.
- Communicate with external customers to resolve missing and/or inaccurate data.
- Work is guided by detailed instructions, routine, procedure and under close supervision. Will receive detailed instructions on all work assignments.
- Work autonomously once proficiency in the tasks is achieved.
- Opportunity on more complex duties as proficiency is gained.
- Opportunity to gain global and supply chain experience within diverse industry environment.
Skills required:
Understanding and efficient usage of spread sheets and database
Knowledge in Macros is an asset
Project Management Skills is an asset
Able to analyze German, French or Chinese.
Physical Demands:
- Duties of this position are performed in a normal office with exposure to manufacturing environments.
- Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data
- Repetitive manual movements are frequently required (e.g. data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc).

Education: Currently enrolled in a University Internship program completing 3rd year of a 4-year program. Enrolled in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Computer) or Business Administration
