Seeking Inspector to perform Final Inspection duties in 14 CFR Part 145 FAA Certificated Repair Station (Electronic & Mechanical aircraft components.) 

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Performs inspection of electrical, electro-mechanical and pneumatic components, which also may include (but is not limited to) receiving inspection and induction of subcontracted repairs and door-to-floor hardware.
  • Performs review of repairs performed in accordance with FAA Approved and FAA Acceptable Data – i.e., Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), Service Bulletins, Customer Support Work Instructions (CSWIs), and other appropriate procedures and documents.
  • Verifies completeness and accuracy of documentation and records utilized to substantiate work performed, including appropriate certification(s) obtained.  Also archives and verifies completeness of repair records (scan, verify, archive IAW established procedures.)
  • Conducts in-process and finished product inspections, including acceptance and rejection of parts and subcomponents as appropriate.
  • Checks soldering, wiring, component placement and polarity, subassembly placement, connections, etc. in mechanical assemblies relative to the repairs being accomplished.
  • Checks visual integrity of products.
  • Escalates product quality problems to supervisor.  Segregates and returns non-conforming materials to appropriate person(s) in accordance with Repair Station procedures.
  • Uses inspection equipment as necessary, such as digital calipers, micrometers, microscopes, and various hand tools to verify parts meet dimensional specs and tolerances.
  • Follows Repair Station procedures to perform related repair & inspection tasks, as appropriate.
  • Other tasks as required by direct supervisor


  • Basic knowledge of electrical, electromechanical and pneumatic systems and principals of operation.
  • Knowledge of methods used in the routine maintenance and repair of electrical, electro-mechanical and pneumatic components.
  • Knowledge of personal computers, Windows applications, and ERP system (SAP).
  • Excellent knowledge of quality standards.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of internal customers.
  • Knowledge of the aerospace industry and 14 CFR Part 145.
  • Part 145 Certificated Repair Station experience preferred
  • IPC-A-610 certification preferred
  • Proficiency with Lockwire/Safety Cable and Conformal Coat preferred

Physical Demands:

  • Duties of the position are performed in a repair & overhaul environment with frequent exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, hazardous substances, etc.
  • Duties of the position require periodic light physical effort and exertion including prolonged repetitive motions, sitting in confined workspaces, using tools and equipment, and moving and handling materials.
  • Duties of the position may require periodic heavy manual effort and exertion including climbing, lifting, pulling and moving objects over 20 pounds.


Typical Experience: 

  • 4-6  years of relevant experience
  • Aerospace industry experience preferred
  • FAA 145 Repair Station Experience preferred
  • FAA A&P Mechanic Certificate preferred
  • Inspection experience within aerospace manufacturing or repair environment preferred
  • SAP experience preferred


High school graduate, GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
