The Quality Inspector will perform regular product evaluations, record inspection results, and recommend improvements to the production process to ensure that all our products meet quality expectations.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shipping.
  • Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
  • Read blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services.
  • Measure product dimensions, examine functionality and compare the final product to the specifications.
  • Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.
  • Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.
  • Teach the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence.
  • Supervise the production process.
  • Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

  • Basic to advanced knowledge of measuring equipment.
  • Solder Inspection not required, but desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of FAIR (AS9102) and Net Inspect highly desired.
  • Knowledge of electrical, electromechanical and pneumatic systems and principals of operation.
  • Knowledge of personal computers and Windows applications.
  • Excellent knowledge of quality standards.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of internal customers.
  • SAP experience a plus
  • Demonstrated attention to detail with excellent technical and math abilities


Physical Demands:

  • Duties of the position are performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, hazardous substances, etc.
  • Duties of the position require periodic light physical effort and exertion including prolonged repetitive motions, sitting in confined workspaces, using tools and equipment, and moving and handling materials
  • Duties of the position may require periodic heavy manual effort and exertion including climbing, lifting, pulling and moving objects over 20 pounds.

 

Experience: 
4+ years relevant experience.


Education: 
Additional courses after high school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
