Summary

Provides basic quality reports and conduct process/product audits.  Own the administrative duties for the site's Quality Management System (QMS) including reporting, auditing, and scheduling functions.  Responsible for all document and data control in EtQ system.  Training Lead. Day shift position with potential for flexible hours based on site needs.

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Training Lead - training planning and retraining controls and reports training performance, training matrix and associated access files for workstations

  • Conduct process/product audits to confirm compliance as per procedures

  • WI review and SpectrumPro release

  • Gathers information and prepare reports using standardized formats

  • Uses and creates standard templates to prepare step by step product documentation that illustrates how to verify quality of the products. Edits documentation as required.  Modifies inspection control levels based on a variety of factors using a QMS control file. 

  • Ensures documentation is accurate and complete and conforms to ISO standards

  • Disseminates notification of document releases and/or updates to appropriate personnel

  • Assists in the preparation for ISO and customer audits.

  • Schedules equipment calibration with outside vendors. 

  • Communicate Quality and Training KPIs and metrics for Continuous Improvement

  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Basic knowledge of the manufacturing process and industry standards such as TL9000

  • Ability to enter detailed data from source documents into various databases

  • Knowledge of computer applications like Excel, Word, PowerPoint 

  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal customers 

  • Ability to efficiently organize, file and retrieve hard copy and electronic information for manufacturing

Physical Demands

  • Duties of this position are performed in a manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to elements such as noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, etc.

  • Duties of the position require periodic light physical effort and exertion including prolonged repetitive motions requiring manual dexterity and precise hand/eye coordination including keyboarding, sitting and or standing in confined workspaces, using tools and equipment, and moving and handling materials.

  • Duties may require periodic manual effort including lifting objects.

  • Duties require extended periods of sustained visual concentration on detailed documentation and product assemblies.

  • Above demands are carried out within the company and statutory health and safety guidelines.

Typical Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.

Typical Education

  • High School Graduation. G.E.D. (or equivalent) and some continuing education or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
