Inspects incoming components received from suppliers, and will conduct outgoing audits to ensure conformance with engineering product/component specifications. Uses various equipment to insure product meets all customer requirements. Assures visual integrity of incoming material Conducts in-process and finished product inspections checking for workmanship, cosmetic specs, tolerances and usability from a functional standpoint. May check internal product integrity including PCB’s, components and fit and placement. Assures visual integrity of products. Monitors product quality trends to identify possible problems and escalates to appropriate person(s). Separates and identifies non-conforming product and ensures corrective actions have been made according to process engineering. Maintains documentation on inspected product. Provides records and reports for data purposes and Statistical monitoring. May provide assistance to the engineering team during product qualification.
   

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

  

~Must possess specific certifications as defined by site operations.
~Knowledge of quality control standards and inspection procedures.
~Basic math skills.
~Knowledge of personal computers and ability to learn and use applications specific to this area
~Ability to maintain detailed, accurate and organized documentation on incoming/outgoing components products and defects.
~Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of internal customers
~Basic manufacturing system knowledge
   

Physical Demands:

  

~Duties of this position are performed in a manufacturing environment with occasional to frequent exposure to elements such as noise, dust, chemicals, operating equipment, temperature extremes, etc.
~Duties of the position require periodic light physical effort and exertion including prolonged repetitive motions requiring manual dexterity and precise hand/eye coordination, sitting and or standing in confined workspaces, using tools and equipment, and moving and handling materials.
~Duties may require periodic heavy manual effort including lifting objects
~Duties require extended periods of sustained visual concentration on detailed documentation and product assemblies.
~Above demands are carried out within the Company and statutory Health and Safety guidelines
   

Typical Experience:

  

Two to three years’ relevant experience.
   

Typical Education:

  

Additional courses after high school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
