Summary
This position will serve as technical lead in hardware design, development, and implementation of technical solutions for AI data center solutions. Additionally this position will be the lead technical contact for customer specific designs from proposal to implementation, driving strategies and recommending industry best practices, as well as creating unique solutions to difficult problems.
Detailed Description
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
- Lead the ideation and concept design of next-generation hardware architectures specifically tailored for high-performance AI data center solutions.
- Architect complex, high-quality hardware systems and provide strategic direction for AI data center planning and design.
- Collaborate with cross-functional technology leads and product managers to define a technology roadmap that prioritizes innovation in datacenter solutions.
- Analyze compute industry trends and partner with senior leadership to drive the strategic direction for innovative technology initiatives.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) sharing knowledge on industry trends and mentoring teams across Hardware Product Solutions (HPS).
- Select key components to optimize design and cost efficiency for successful market adoption.
- Review and analyze new technologies summarizing results for presentation to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Engage with strategic customers to understand their specific problems and provide technical solutions that align with our hardware product designs.
Technical Capabilities
- 8+ years of progressive experience in hardware design and technical leadership.
- Deep expertise in compute hardware architectures, including datacenter, telecommunications, enterprise, and service provider environments.
- Advanced proficiency in compute components, protocols, and high-speed interfaces.
- Hands-on technical mastery of AMD/Intel GPUs, Broadcom Ethernet Switches, x86 architectures, and storage technologies (HDDs, SSDs, SAS/SATA, PCIe, CXL).
- Extensive experience in comprehensive rack-level system design and integration.
- Demonstrated ability to lead product concepts from architecture, through prototyping, system evaluation, to product release.
- Skilled in developing architectural specifications that drive high-quality hardware product development.
- Strong command of hardware security protocols and protection elements.
- Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills, with a proven track record of analytical problem-solving and customer-centric service.
- Deep understanding of high-power, density-constrained designs, specifically for GPU systems with power requirements in the 4-5 kW range.
- Expertise in data center designs with full liquid cooling requirements.
Typical Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.

Physical Demands
- Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
- Duties might require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
- Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
- Occasional domestic and international travel might be required
