The Financial Controls Manager at Celestica Fremont, CA is a hands on position to interface with the site operations teams to develop and improve existing business controls, ensuring appropriate financial controls over the site reporting process, and assist the site controller in managing the day to day business. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensure proper accounting and business controls are in place to safeguard company assets. 
  • Provides business controls advice and develop monitoring mechanisms to keep site GM and site controller aware of potential risk to business operations.
  • Recommend and implement policies, procedures and processes to improve efficiencies and effectiveness. 
  • Works with site operation teams to develop and drive action plans to comply with audit recommendations in a timely manner. 
  • Be the primary liaison between Fremont site and the various audit bodies including internal auditors, external auditors, and 3rd party auditors. 
  • Assist site management with special projects as required.



  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of financial management and accounting.
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of a manufacturing environment and processes.
  • Advanced understanding of ERP systems and Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation and problem resolution skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills both internally and externally.
  • Ability to effectively lead, influence, train and motivate a diverse group of employees.
  • Ability to research accounting rules in both US GAAP and IFRS, as well as relevant tax regulations for the countries, states and cities where the site has operations in.
  • Skills required in multi-tasking and time management
  • Has working knowledge of all internal functions’ processes, critical financial success factors, and reporting system linkages
  • Understands unique audit requirements and control issues worldwide.



  • 7+ years of work experience in business/finance/accounting controls
  • 3+ years of work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Solid experience working with an ERP system; SAP Preferred
  • Advanced skills and experience in MS Excel
  • Financial audit experience; CPA firm audit experience preferred



Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required
