By Joining Celestica Galway (Ireland) as a Supply Chain Planner you will have the opportunity to work on delivering a fully automated high volume manufacturing line from development stage to full scale production ramp producing world class medical devices in a dynamic, fast moving environment.  This position offers a great opportunity for a Supply Chain Planner to work in a dynamic and challenging environment of high speed automation for micro assemblies across our business in the Automated Technology Solutions & Health-tech (Medical Device) market.

 

Your next challenge will be…

 

Create, manage and drive the master production schedule of all raw production consumables in line with customer forecasts and sales orders. 

This position will report to the Supply Chain Manager

 

Your day to day activities will include the following…

 

  • Developing, directing, planning and co-ordinating the execution of daily, weekly, monthly requirements in line with customer demand and forecast and in partnership with manufacturing.
  • Planning for material necessary to meet manufacturing build requirements for one or several product lines.
  • Ensuring schedule of on time delivery of material to meet customer requirements and inventory targets.
  • Managing and controlling inventory in line with company targets, achieving desired corporate inventory turn targets.
  • Supporting Order Fulfilment through accurate and consistent material planning.
  • Managing Customer relationship and expectation through accurate recovery plans.
  • Providing daily / weekly / monthly reporting, key metrics and analysis highlighting gaps, areas of concern and solutions.
  • Managing strong relationships and collaboration with all internal stakeholders (Supply Chain, Order Fulfilment, Manufacturing, IT, Global Divisions, Site Management) and external Customers.
  • Championing continuous process improvement within the planning function, keeping up to date on the latest planning tools and techniques.
  • Adopts a proactive approach to running their section of the Supply Chain department.

What do we expect from you?

 

  • In depth knowledge of production planning fundamentals, Bill of Material (BOM) Structures, scheduling, material requirements planning techniques and manufacturing control systems.
  • Focused Customer manager skills.
  • Ability to plan strategically for the coordinated delivery of a variety of materials to the appropriate areas
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, working under tight time deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion.
  • Ability to utilize computer systems and applications in order to gather required information, and compile information into a customer presentable format.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to plan strategically across production.

 

 

What are we looking for?

 

  • A minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in a Planning role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Supply Chain experience in an Electronics manufacturing industry an advantage.
  • Relevant qualification in related field (Business, Supply Chain or other).
  • APICS qualification (or studying towards) an advantage.
  • SAP experience essential.
  • Procurement experience an advantage.
  • MS office platform skills essential, advanced Excel an advantage.
  • Data analytics an advantage.
