Summary

Entry level during which an employee receives both functional and organizational training under close supervision. Incumbents carry out assignments within well-defined practices, procedures and policies. Works independently on details of assignments, and has limited decision-making authority; most decisions are made or guided by the immediate supervisor. Decisions/actions may have an impact on the department's/divisions goals. Works under close Supervision and requires direction on how assignments are to be executed; begins to put forward ideas on how work assignments are completed. Establishes cooperative relationships to work effectively with colleagues; supports others and participates as a team member, and takes responsibility for own work commitments. Interacts directly with immediate supervisor, co-workers and team members; engages in routine exchanges of information; interactions with external contacts, if applicable, would be monitored.

Detailed Description

Assemble electronic components onto PCBs using various soldering techniques, such as reflow
soldering, manual soldering. (All packages includes 0201,0402, SOP, TSOP, QFP, BGA)
Proficiency in using soldering equipment, including soldering irons, hot air stations, and rework stations.
Ability to work with precision and accuracy under a microscope.
Understanding of basic electronics principles and components and aware of ESD's.
Troubleshoot electronic assemblies to identify and resolve issues.
Able to do offline Firmware upgrades by using Different Programming tools. (Dediprog, Lattice, Xilinx)
Knowledge about the Allegro viewer applications and able to work on this.
Excellent soldering and De-soldering skills.
Knowledge about the crimping.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

Strong understanding of electronics principles, including circuits, components, and troubleshooting
techniques.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes.
Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and diagrams.
OS installation (Windows, Linux) and Knowledge about basics of linux.

IPC-A-610/IPC 620 Class 2 or higher certification is a plus. (IPC Certified Electronics Assembler).

Physical Demands

  • Duties of the position are performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, hazardous substances, etc.
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
  • Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.

Typical Experience

  • 3 to 4 years in a relevant position

Typical Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a B.E EEE or B.E ECE
