Summary
The Senior Lead Engineer - Devops will use expertise in Azure DevOps and Python to build and enhance automated CI/CD pipelines and manage infrastructure as code. They will collaborate with development and QA teams to troubleshoot complex issues across the full stack, ensuring high availability and performance of applications. They will integrate security tooling and robust monitoring into the CI/CD pipeline to create a secure, reliable, and observable software delivery lifecycle.
Detailed Description
CI/CD Pipeline: Architect, build, and manage robust, scalable, and secure CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to support our diverse range of applications.
Automation Excellence: Develop and maintain high-quality scripts and tools, primarily in Python, to fully automate build, testing, and deployment processes, minimizing manual intervention.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Drive the automation of infrastructure provisioning and configuration management. Hands-on experience with tools like Ansible or Jenkins is strongly desirable.
Monitoring and Visibility: Design and maintain custom dashboards and tooling to provide real-time visibility in different tools. Experience with full stack development is strongly desirable.
App Development: Utilize full-stack development skills to design, create, maintain, and support diverse in-house frameworks and applications, delivering innovative and scalable solutions that solve key business challenges and improve operational efficiency.
Security Integration: Embed security best practices and automated checks (DevSecOps) within the CI/CD pipeline to ensure our applications are secure from the start.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, and cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and resolve complex issues.
Advanced Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the entire stack, from application-level bugs to infrastructure failures.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
Mandatory Skills and Qualifications
Programming Proficiency: Strong coding and scripting skills in Python with a passion for automation.
CI/CD Expertise: Proven experience designing and managing automated pipelines, preferably with Azure DevOps.
Computer Science Fundamentals: Solid understanding of core computing concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and operating systems.
Analytical Mindset: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
Cloud Platforms: Deep knowledge of the Microsoft Azure cloud ecosystem.
Containerization: Experience with Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (AKS).
IaC Tooling: Experience with infrastructure automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Jenkins.
Preferred Qualifications
Full-Stack Development: Hands-on experience or strong familiarity with full-stack development is a significant plus.
Physical Demands
