Celestica has a great opportunity for a Category Management Advisor for IT category. Accountabilities:
- Build strong partnerships with IT leaders to support their objectives and jointly develop strategic sourcing strategies while collaborating on sourcing projects
- Manage business value through the development of cost-effective supply relationships while pursuing total cost of ownership savings by leveraging purchasing volume, strategic supplier relationships and ensuring a healthy, solid supply chain
- Directly manage and implement best practices in IT sourcing initiatives
- Manage and track sourcing initiatives for stakeholders, ensuring effective strategy development, market assessments, RFP processes, contract and supplier negotiation and supplier management while enabling collaboration between stakeholders and suppliers
- Track performance of suppliers and proactively work on upcoming IT renewals
- Proactively identify opportunities for improvements and execute to realize the benefits targeted whether contractual terms, productivity, efficiency, etc.

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
- Good understanding of global business environment
- Lead complex negotiations effectively
- Expert knowledge of best practices in sourcing practices and methodologies
- Strong ability to work effectively across functions and with suppliers to achieve Celestica's goals
- Evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers
- Drive decisions by using clear, solid communication to socialize, influence and persuade senior management including C-suite members. Succinct and pertinent content
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (Commerce or Administration), or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience (Procurement and/or purchasing designations an asset)
- IT sourcing experience is a must.
- Strong project management skills are a must.
- Previous experience in contract drafting, review of legal (with internal counsel) and commercial terms, negotiating favorable and relevant terms.
- Proven experience in leading large transformational projects is a strong asset.
- Global experience, specifically with Asia, is beneficial.
- 4-5 years of experience in procurement and strategy building roles and having managed large, complex and multi-functional projects is preferred however, the numbers of years is not as relevant as the type, depth and breadth of the projects that you have managed.
Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment – hybrid work model.
