Summary

Material Quote Lead dedicated to PCI. The successful candidate will develop and manage a team of quote analysts to obtain material costs in support of new business for PCI.

Detailed Description

• Overall material quote Lead dedicated to PCI
• Mentor, identify talent gaps and continuously work to strengthen PCI material quote team
• Support RFQs for standalone PCI business
• Work independently, result oriented, confident to raise issues, provide comments and suggestions to improve processes, aligning with Celestica best practices as appropriate
• Provides direction for source selection
• Provides leadership for New Business Sourcing Strategy deployment
• Quotes and negotiates critical high dollar or strategic commodities or provide the direction to team.
• Provides guidance, leadership and direction with respect to interaction with suppliers
• Excellent Supplier Relationship Management skills
• Strong understanding of EMS Suppliers, and respective Distribution network
• Leads process development and development of supplier engagement strategies

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

• Supply Chain experience within Celestica, including relationships with members of commodity management, strategic sourcing, GSCS, etc. considered an asset
• Expert knowledge of the marketplace conditions for a broad range of strategic commodities, industry pricing, technology, supply/demand and emerging trends
• Experience with mechanical build to print commodities considered an asset
• Excellent understanding of global business environment and Customers business, organization, products and processes
• Ability to lead complex negotiations effectively
• Expert knowledge of office systems and analytical tools
• Expert problem solving skills to deal with Customer/ Supplier issues
• Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers
• Proficiency in Mandarin is considered an asset
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively across functions and with suppliers/ customers to achieve PCI and Celestica’s goals

Physical Demands

• Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment
• Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data
• Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required
• Travel may be required

Typical Experience

8-10 years of relevant experience 

Typical Education

• Bachelors degree in relevant field (i.e Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain & Operations, Business etc.) 
• Certification in Supply Chain considered an asset
