Summary
Quality Analyst is responsible for
1) Primary to Focuses on product-oriented defect detection by running line inspections, operating testing equipment, and evaluating sample outputs against technical specifications which involve as per the following.
- Major focus on managing Final gate inspection and there is no escapee to customer
- To ensure on the changes on customer requirement is being executed and train the trainer on its requirement
- Manage on the customer complain and work on its improvement to prevent any occurance
- Monitor the Quality KPIs which align with corporate & customer.
2) Secondary to handle customer complain towards the escapee related to operation and supporting on the all Audits which related to operation (Customer Audit & ISO9001)
Detailed Description
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
- Handle all quality excursions, take effective actions and follow proper escalation
- Initiate 8D or investigation report
- coordinate with respective focal person to prevent on the of product non-conformity during production run.
- Support and follow up the product & material quality from NPI to mass production IP(Inspection Plan), WI(Work Instruction), etc.). This includes following industry specific protocols as required in Customer Qualification plan.
- Ensure the New Product Buy-off is initiated as per customer requirement.
- Responsible to ensure the Audit Inspection/rescreen is being carried out as per the procedure
- Perform 1st level investigation if there is failure
- Release the lot once approved by customer
- Escalate to customer and internal operation on the status as per the response plan
- ensure the preventive maintenance and troubleshooting is being carried out for testing equiment.
- Assist to create the quality control plan for respective area (material/process/product)
- Analyze, monitor and report quality KPI for internal (factory) and external (customer). RFPY (Rolled First Pass Yield)/OBA(Out of Box Audit) - RMA (Returned Material Authorization)/DPQL(Delivered Product Quality Level) - Customer feedback - LRR(Line Reject Rate)/ RI Flag(Receiving Inspection Flag)/WWQA(World Wide Quality Alert)
- Drive continuous improvement to benefit customer and Celestica
- Draft internal quality system procedures, work instructions and workmanship standards
- Assist process/product/system/supplier audit and improvement actions follow up. - Industry standards (e.g., ISO) - Compliance audit - Safety audit etc.
- Follow up the EC (Engineering Change) to ensure the implementation of changes is timely and accurate (initiated both externally and internally)
- Enhance the quality skills and product knowledge through the training program.
- Responsible to certify the Inspection operator.
- Accomplish the jobs assignment from the superior and participate in the quality strategy deployment.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
- Knowledge of quality tools, ISO and IPC standards and processes
- Knowledge of software as used in generating reports capturing data & presenting data in an understandable format
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes Understand quality tools such as FMEA, PMP, SPC, 8D methodology, etc.
- Understand Six Sigma and Lean Kaizen.
- Knowledge and understanding of the business unit and how decisions impact customer satisfaction product quality ,on-time delivery and profitability of the unit
- Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal and external customers
Physical Demands
- Repetitive manual movements (e.g., keyboarding)
- Sustained visual concentration on small areas, such as monitors, screens
- Sustained visual concentration on numbers, legal documents
- The job works in a production office environment with minor exposure to noise, etc.
Typical Experience
- At least 2 years relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment, quality management and internal quality auditing.
- Experience in handling on the sampling size selection and quality inspections
- Sound knowledge of ISO 9001 & ISO14001, its implementation and an attested pass in relevant auditor courses are advantageous.
- Ability to work independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Good attitude, communication and coordination skills.
Typical Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/Electronics/ Engineering or equivalent education requirement.
