Detailed Description
- Manage strategic visibility programs (multiple projects per program) of high complexity (technology, organizationally). Lead cross-functional, global core team(s), kick off programs, establish schedules and drive meetings.
- Acts as the primary interface between the customer and the company for managing NPI projects within established professional standards, established policy, and/or established objectives.
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks. Delegate project tasks to project team member; coordination & documentation.
- Track project performance accordingly to the respective phase gates, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
- Understand technical risk and able to push technical envelope whenever possible to design packaging solution that is processable, optimizing quality vs cost and cycle time.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties for the flawless execution of projects via effectiveness communication skill
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget. Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.

- Manage multiple high visibility programs (multiple projects per program) of high complexity (technology, organizationally) and/or business impact. Lead Cross-functional, global core team(s), kick off programs, establish schedules and drive meetings.
- Present to, communicate with and influence key functional teams to work towards the company vision& departmental goals.
- Lead/develop company wide, cross functional or complex process initiatives or business strategy.
- Demonstrate ability to grow cross functional team members by identifying development opportunities and coaching Program Core Team members.
- Implement change as directed in the product lifecycle process and recommends process improvements
- Plan the overall program and monitor the progress. Drive the creation, review, approval and update of the Program Plan/WBS including resources.
- Daily program management throughout the program life
- Drive the program core team to meet or exceed program objectives (Cost, Quality, Schedule, Features, Fulfillment/Continuity of Supply, Solution delivery across products & service offerings, Customer Specific Needs)
- Manage the program’s budget. Forecast actuals against plan/quote for income/revenue, cost/labour & expense
- Coordinates the projects and their interdependencies. Manage and utilize resources across projects
- Align the deliverables (outputs) to the program’s “outcome” with the aid of the business change manager
- Manage the flawless project management, deploy corporate tools e.g Smartsheet
- Set yearly plans and goals for the department, give direction on expected performance, provide regular performance evaluations and ongoing feedback. Accountable for all department objectives and achieving agreed targets for key performance indicators.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
- In-depth knowledge of the manufacturing process, schedules and scheduling requirements, and SCM.
- In-depth knowledge of project management, project gantt chart, open issue tracking, from end to end from customer award, BOM setup, supply chain setup, material readiness, mfg & facilities readiness in 5M, 1E 1C to support NPI start up with risk assessment
- In-depth knowledge of product pricing, contracts and contract negotiations.
- Thorough understanding of business risks and price make up (Value add and Materials)
- Excellent customer contact, negotiation and problem resolution skills.
- Good presentation, database management and computer skills.
- Ability to manage multiple, detailed projects to a successful end while working under tight time deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
Typical Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Business Management related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and NPI project management & program experience.
- Min 10 years relevant experience in project management / marketing / manufacturing industries.
- Must have skills : NPI knowledge or Program Management knowledge
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Computer skills especially in Microsoft Excel and presentation slide using Power Point.
- Applicants must be willing to work in Senai, Johor.
- Good working attitude and willing to learn.
