MES IT Technician

Summary

The Senior Technician, IT Site Services is primarily responsible for attending to all MES system and IT technical problems reported on the factory floor to sustain production continuity. The incumbent may also attend to the offices and other areas from time to time. Other responsibilities include MES system support installing and configuring PCs, maintaining and upgrading clients, applications & operating system.

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

• Provides direct support on all MES functionality & IT technical problems on the factory floor production lines in real-time
• Assist in the configuration, testing, and deployment of MEs software within the manufacturing environment.
• Provide support to the production floor by troubleshooting and resolving MEs-related technical issues.
• Monitor the system's performance and proactively identify areas for optimization.
• Perform routine system checks and ensure that the MEs system is running smoothly without disruptions.
• Assist in the installation of patches, updates, and upgrades to ensure the system's health.
• Assist in training new employees and conducting refresher training for existing staff on MES operations and best practices.
• Identify process inefficiencies and collaborate with senior engineers and operational teams to develop.
• Provides daily support to end users and resolves ServiceNow tickets.
• Assists IT Solutions/Infrastructure Assistant or above on all functions.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

• Customer service orientation

• Troubleshooting & problem resolving skills

• Good Communication (both oral and written)

• Good knowledge of the Windows OS (server and client) and the desktop operating

   environment.

• Fundamental knowledge of shopfloor system processes.

• Fundamental knowledge of end-point security management tools and processes

Physical Demands

• Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
• Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
   

Typical Education & Experience

• Diploma holder only with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Able to commit 12 hours of shift work
