Detailed Description

  • Supplier Performance & Recovery: Drives performance improvement at critical suppliers by identifying and resolving complex systemic problems. Implements Supplier Recovery / Improvement standard work to develop suppliers to World Class levels.
  • Operational Oversight: Validates POs, measures supplier Line of Balances (LOB) and past dues (PD), and verifies raw material and work in process positions. Identifies tooling gaps and ensures stable demand signals.
  • Staff Management: Manages staff to ensure timely and accurate purchase, movement, and control of inventory. Reassigns personnel as necessary to optimize work.
  • Continuous Supply: Maintains material supply, including pricing, on-time delivery, and tracking excess and obsolete inventory. Addresses and resolves possible material shortages.
  • Strategic Projects: Creates and manages the implementation of strategic projects, including overall tracking and progress reporting to leadership. Completes root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Liaison & Collaboration: Acts as a liaison with customers to ensure forecast commitments are met and works between customer project management and internal departments on new product requirements.

  • Technical Knowledge: Broad knowledge of electronics manufacturing environment, materials, processes, traffic, and customs rules.
  • Systems Expertise: Perform supplier performance analysis using SAP, Rapid Response, and other Celestica databases.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to identify and resolve high complexity process/system problems using financial, analytical, and/or statistical models.
  • Leadership: Ability to effectively lead, manage, train, and motivate a diverse group of employees.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with various internal and external customers.

Typical Experience & Education

  • Experience: Five to seven years of relevant experience.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience
