Summary
We are seeking an Embedded System Project Manager to lead embedded system development within our product design division. This role requires a balance of technical literacy and high-level organizational skills to manage complex workflows in a high-utilization environment. You will be the primary driver of project velocity, ensuring firmware milestones align perfectly with hardware design cycles.
Detailed Description
- Project Lifecycle Management: Lead the planning and execution of firmware projects from concept to final product integration.
- Resource Allocation: Monitor team utilization to ensure high-priority tasks are staffed effectively without burnout.
- Financial Tracking: Collaborate with the leadership team to handle project quoting and monitor revenue recognition milestones.
- Technical Coordinating: Act as the bridge between firmware engineers, hardware designers, and external clients.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in Software Project Management or Scrum Master, with a specific focus on Embedded Systems or Firmware.
- Tools: Proficient in JIRA/Azure DevOps and other Agile project management tools.
- Resilience: Proven ability to thrive in high-utilization, fast-paced environments.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to "translate" technical hurdles into clear updates for non-technical customers.
- Technical Literacy: A solid grasp of how firmware integrates with product hardware. Knowledge in IEC62304 or ISO13485 is a plus.
- High-Pressure Delivery: Demonstrated experience working in high-utilization environments, with the ability to maintain team focus during tight deadlines.
- Customer Advocacy: Strong ability to handle customer pressure, negotiate timelines, and manage external expectations professionally.
- Financial Aptitude: A readiness to take on project finance responsibilities, including quoting, revenue recognition, and cost management.

- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in Software Project Management or Scrum Master, with a specific focus on Embedded Systems or Firmware.
Typical Education
Bachelor degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
