The Lead Engineer, Manufacturing Process is responsible for designing, developing, deploying and optimizing processes for manufacturing to achieve quality cost and delivery goals for Celestica and its customers products.

Detailed Description:

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • End-to-End Industrial Engineering: Lead and execute industrial engineering initiatives across all facets of operations, including New Product Introduction (NPI), capacity planning, inbound logistics, process optimization, outbound operations, packaging, and material handling.

  • Operational Design & Optimization: Design, develop, and implement new and improved manufacturing processes to support the efficient production of customer products.

  • Capacity & Efficiency Management: Conduct plant layout planning, perform detailed capacity studies, and manage Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to maximize throughput and resource utilization.

  • Automation & Innovation: Drive initiatives related to automation, Industry 4.0, and IoT, identifying opportunities for technological integration to enhance manufacturing processes.

  • Software & Tooling Development: Develop application software and tooling for complex machinery and mechanical process steps within the manufacturing environment.

  • Process Characterization & Improvement: Execute and support the characterization of machine and process capabilities using Design of Experiments (DOE) and advanced statistical methods. Ensure maximum utilization of critical resources, optimize throughput, minimize costs, and support capacity growth by integrating equipment, people, material flow, and information systems.

  • Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to products, processes, and components that impact manufacturing efficiency and operational stability.

  • Design for Manufacturability (DFM): Provide constructive feedback to product designers to ensure designs are optimized for efficient and cost-effective manufacturability.

  • Material Flow & Logistics: Develop and implement strategies for standard material supermarkets and material supply systems, including leveling schedules, to ensure seamless material flow.

 

 

 

 

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify optimal solutions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Familiarity with manufacturing software and automation technologies.

  • Good command both Thai and English.

Typical Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Industrial Engineer role in the manufacturing industry.

Typical Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
