Detailed Description

Celestica (Thailand) Ltd. in Laem Chabang, Chonburi, is seeking a talented Lead Process Engineer SMT&Assembly. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for leading the continuous improvement of the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and backend assembly production process, ensuring high quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize and maintain the SMT and backend assembly production process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions

• Conduct process validation and capability studies to ensure manufacturing standards are met

• Provide technical expertise and support to the production team, troubleshooting issues and implementing corrective actions

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and new product introductions

• Analyse production data, identify trends, and recommend strategies to enhance productivity and quality

• Develop and implement process control plans, work instructions, and other documentation to standardize best practices

• Monitor and report on key performance indicators, ensuring alignment with business objectives

• Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians

• Advanced knowledge in engineering, business, organization design, operational and quality processes
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Knowledge in appropriate industry standards such as ISO, TL, QS, Baldrige

Typical Experience

• Degree in Engineering, with a focus on Manufacturing, Industrial, or Production Engineering

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a lead process engineering role, preferably in the electronics manufacturing industry

• Expertise in SMT production processes, including reflow soldering, screen printing, and component placement, X-ray, Press fit, AOI.

• Good command in English communication.

• Proficient in the use of data analysis tools and techniques to identify and solve complex problems

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills

• Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams
