General Job Summary
- To ensure under the direction of the warehouse department, the job holder successfully achieves the operational targets for all warehouse activities, co-ordination these activities across all support departments (Productions, SCM, GBS, Quality, Logistics, IT, Finance and Engineering) where their work or input assists in the achievement of the targets.
- Within the framework of all warehouse functions, operational and transport processes, Warehouse manager is to ensure the smooth of warehouse operations and follow up and manage all shop floor and driving activities.
- The Warehouse manager is a proactive, strategic thinker whose skills contribute to the efficient, systematic and profitable operation of the company.
- To closely work with Warehouse HOD to ensure the KPI, quality, delivery, safety, security and inventory accuracy are improved or maintained.
Specific Accountabilities
- To direct, Warehouse team leader, Supervisor and operators in their various duties and ensure that the works are completed within the required time-scales and the quality standard determined by the internal and external of the customer.
- Set individual targets for subordinates to ensure the daily and long term targets are met. These will be agreed between you, your colleagues and your supervisor. Any variances to target will be discussed at the meeting with colleagues.
- Ensure that all Team leader, Supervisor and Keeper must achieve all KPIs
- Ensure that effective communication is maintained between all Operations staff levels and all department involved.
- To contribute to cost reduction (CPR) by finding new ways of operating in more efficient way.
- Initiate and conduct continuous improvement schemes for all areas of the warehouse under the responsibilities.
- Forecast Warehouse capabilities and manage a proactive equipment maintenance program.
- Develop and measure to upgrade all operations procedures and job functions.
- Any other jobs assigned by Sr. Warehouse Manager
- Professionally represent the company in all forums (meetings, seminars, courses etc).
Responsibilities by Key Functions
Organizational and Operational Effectiveness.
- Contribute to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy as a member of the management team.
- Drive initiatives in the management team and organizationally that contribute to long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.
- Optimize, implement and successfully manage warehouse operations with efficiency and quality standards.
- Analyze and implement process flow improvements, to include capabilities for growth.
- Develop and oversee implementation and administration of department policies, systems, and procedures.
- To generate and implement strategies to improve service level and improve efficiency throughout the organization.
- Promote 5S, continuous improvement, lean thinking, safety and security.
- Supervise and coach the level of Supervises and keeper as a basis.
Compliance Management
- Compliance with the Safety and Security regulation, C-TPAT and ISO standard requirement according to company policy and Customer requirements.
- To manage ensuring teams/operations work in safe condition and comply with HSE standard and requirement.
- Serve as primary liaison in addressing legal issues e.g. licensing, governing instruments, incident management, etc.
Financial Management
- To do the annual budgeting and planning (AOP) for the organization's annual budget with HOD Warehouse.
- Develop and manage annual budget and monthly P&L, follow AOP.
- Oversee monthly and quarterly assessments and forecasts of organization's financial performance against budget, financial and operational goals.
- Manage and control the spending IDP to align with the AOP budget.
IT Management
- Identifies the problem of internal procedures related to system (SAP, ODC, Smart, eRSN, ETQ) and proposes the solution to get more effective and efficient procedure.
- To ensure the accurate, maintained and reliable Warehouse system and linking by working with IT System.
Human Resource Management
- To ensure no. of resources, manpower and equipment to meet the operation requirement and align with the MPP.
- Manage the employment and training of admin and warehouse operators.
- Determines optimum staffing model for the department with Warehouse manager.
- Assess and plan staff skill development and career management to ensure all staffs are trained and fully equipped to perform their responsibilities, and have the opportunity for career growth.
- Evaluate employee performance and motivate to achieve peak productivity.
Personnel Skills
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, presentation and communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to motivate and lead a diverse workforce to achieve desired results.
- Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives.
- Good at analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent in English both written and spoken and, Negotiation skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Understand well on the 8D and analytic by using basic tools of quality such as fishbone diagram, 5Why, Pareto chart, etc.
- Safety and Security knowledge
- Inventory and Warehouse management skills
- Familiar with Warehouse Management System
- Team & Conflict management, Strategic Planning and Delegation skills.
- Knowledge of government contract/ regulations (Customs, IEAT)
- Basic Productions and Material handling knowledge.
- Knowledge of C-TPAT regulations and ISO standard.
- Proactive and able to work under pressure.
- Ability to motivate and lead a diverse workforce to achieve desired results.
- Familiar with fast-pace environment and result focused.
Experiences and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Male or female age 35-50 years old
- Minimum 5 years experiences of relevant working experience in Warehouse, Logistics or Supply Chain.
- A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
- Ability to look at situations from several points of view
- End-to-end supply chains experience, especially logistics IT, transportation, warehousing management and importation and exportation.
- Proven history of successful goal setting, achievement, and employee management.
- Procurement management and Knowledge of human resource management.
- Knowledge of Logistics business and Manufacturing (EMS company) and the ability to lead team.
- Knowledge of Financial, budgeting and P&L for warehouse business.
- Ability to motivate and work in a fast moving, pressure environment
- Experience and intelligence to deal with complex quantitative and qualitative analyses
