Summary

The Engineer, Manufacturing Process is responsible for designing, developing, deploying and optimizing processes for manufacturing to achieve quality cost and delivery goals for Celestica and its customers products.

Detailed Description

Detailed Description:  

  • Process Design & NPI: Design and implement robust SMT manufacturing processes and tooling for new product introductions (NPI).

  • Machine Optimization: Program and optimize complex SMT equipment (Printer, Pick & Place, Reflow, AOI) to maximize throughput and reliability.

  • Data-Driven Performance: Utilize DOE and Statistical Process Control (SPC) to analyze machine capability, minimize costs, and scale capacity.

  • Advanced Troubleshooting: Resolve critical technical issues involving products, processes, and components to ensure seamless production.

  • DFM Collaboration: Provide technical feedback on DFM to product designers to enhance yield and manufacturability.

  • System Integration: Integrate equipment, material flow, and information systems for peak operational efficiency.       

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Strong SMT Background: Deep expertise in every stage of the SMT assembly process like SPI, Pick and Place, Reflow etc.

Typical Experience

  • 4-8 years of working experience of SMT process engineering in electronics industry.

Typical Education

Bachelor degree  or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields
