JOB SUMMARY
This position reports to the General Manager and is responsible for the materials management function relating to the procurement to meet company objectives and customer requirements. This involves the responsibility of directing and administering Procurement.

JOB DUTIES
- Adheres to all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements including but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), ISO, NADCAP, AS9100, Environmental Management Systems, International Trades and Arms (ITAR) regulations, company policies and operating procedures and other regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for driving the execution of Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning.
- Responsible for processing the obsolescence of inventory.
- Oversees the purchasing and/or contracting for materials, supplies, equipment, and services for the operation of the Company, in addition to all inventory items. Confers with requesting parties when specific sources are requested. Investigates and solves problems resulting from material shortages, however caused.
- Establishes and maintains purchasing practices and policies to ensure honest fair and ethical relationships with vendors.
- Responsible for continuing programs of exploration for new materials, suppliers, and processes to achieve the best possible quality, reliability, prices, continuity, and delivery
- Develops, establishes, and provides for the maintenance of reporting systems that relate to the materials function.
- Manages the shipping and receiving functions of the company, and oversees the storage of purchased parts and finished goods.
- Ensures that the company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all material department functions.
- Acts as the liaison between operations and customer service to ensure orders are accurate and on-time delivery is met. Collaborates to identify, analyze, and resolve potential supply chain gaps or changes that may impact customer demands.
- Responsible for the motivation and development of subordinates to optimize their performance and their personal and professional growth.
- Performs other functions as required.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business or Management related field. 5+ plus years of experience in Production/Inventory Control plus additional experience in Purchasing in a similar manufacturing environment along with previous leadership experience in Supply Chain. APICS certification is a plus. Must have complete understanding of the MRPII system. Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees and management. Requires strong verbal and written communications skills as well as effective interpersonal skills. Strong organizational, planning and multi-tasking skills. Demonstrated ability to lead team activities. Excellent problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook.
