Summary

The Manager, Facilities Category Management is a global role supporting the execution of our Facilities indirect procurement strategy and helping drive adoption within the organization. The incumbent possesses a foundational understanding of category management principles, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to teamwork and ingenuity. This position will contribute to optimizing spend under management, reducing procurement cycle times, and fostering collaboration across the organization.

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Support the overall Facilities strategy, contributing to the management of approximately $50M of spend.

  • Assist in the development and execution of strategic category plans (20% strategic planning, 80% hands-on execution).

  • Sourcing and contract negotiation.

  • Support savings initiatives and assist in optimizing spend under management.

  • Contribute to improving procurement cycle times for assigned categories.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support successful adoption of indirect procurement processes.

  • Travel globally approximately 5% of the time.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Solid analytical and communication skills.

  • Fluency in Spanish (verbal and written) is required.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to support projects and collaborate with stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Knowledge of using SAP.

  • Experience with Ivalua is a plus.

Physical Demands

  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.

  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.

Typical Experience

2-4 years of specific experience in category management.

Typical Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (Commerce, Engineering), or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Educational requirements may vary by geography.
