Summary
Applies expertise in more than one area of specialization. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires and in-depth evaluation of various factors. Incumbents are accountable for quality of work delivered by external suppliers as applicable. Incumbents have decision-making authority and autonomy to deliver on goals of team. Influences others outside of team to ensure goals are met and resolves conflicts in an effective manner. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve goals results in additional costs and serious delays in overall schedules of a site and/or regional function. May lead a multi-functional work group or project team consisting of one or more support staff and/or tech/professional staff, or may provide advice and guidance in area of specialty. May determine new methods and procedures. Seeks out new avenues for building internal and external relationships; maintains contacts with existing relationships. Interfaces with senior managers on issues related to the area of expertise. Interacts with and influences management and/or customers on significant issues.
Detailed Description
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
- Coordinates a team of senior technical professionals, cross-sites and functions to implement ERP systems and other key /strategic Celestica systems.
- Develops a multi-million dollar budget, detailed project and resource plans and business processes required to support integration of the new site.
- Works with external customer, senior management at both the Corporate and site level to resolve roadblocks and drive changes required to support the integration.
- Evaluates new acquisitions from an SCM perspective during due diligence activities.
- Works with Celestica, Customer and Supplier teams to deliver e-Business transactional and collaborative solutions to support business to business relationship.
- Provides technical, business process and project leadership to the global user community, IT and other SCM resources.
- Manages multiple implementations requiring resource balancing and resolution of conflicting deadlines and priorities.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
- Broad understanding of global business environment and customers’ business.
- Extensive knowledge of global supply chain and manufacturing processes and integrated ERP applications.
- Working knowledge of e-Business processes, applications and system integration.
- Strong knowledge of IT concepts and integrated business applications.
- Ability to design and develop complex systems, processes and business relationships.
- Strong cross-functional project and team leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability resolve very complex process and systems issues across sites and with the Customer.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines.
Physical Demands
- Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
- Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
- Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
- Extensive prolonged overnight travel may be required.
Typical Experience
- Eight plus years of experience

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, IT or Materials Management or related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
