About this opportunity:

The Quality Engineering (New Product Introduction) Intern will work on the quality team to support first article reports to our customers, ensuring that products meet all customer specifications and drawings.

  • Engineering principles and basic knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

Activities: 

  • Ensure product compliance to customer requirements
  • Compile First Article Inspection reports for various customers
  • Participate in resolving customer, supplier, and internal quality issues promptly and efficiently
  • Participate in product quality improvements, and monitoring and reporting quality performance
  • Participating in Product Quality Planning: Identifying critical product quality requirements, potential risk areas, and ensuring appropriate measures are in place
  • Participate in regular internal quality review meetings
     

Physical Demands:

  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office with exposure to manufacturing environments.
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data
  • Repetitive manual movements are frequently required (e.g. data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc).
  • Basic manufacturing system knowledge.

Education: Currently enrolled in a University Internship program completing 3rd year of a 4-year program. Mechanical, Electrical, and Industrial Engineering Program Preferred.
