About this opportunity:

The Quality Engineering Intern will support driving creative solutions to quality issues highlighted by our Aerospace, Defense and Industrial customers. This is a dynamic role where Interns will be encouraged to explore areas of interest and develop their skills through various side projects and new initiatives. The Intern will gain a comprehensive understanding of the organization from both engineering and business perspectives. They will have the opportunity to work in a stimulating environment and with a collaborative team.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Well organized and an effective communicator
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to work effectively autonomously once trained 
  • Experience with Power BI and Excel Macros – considered an asset
  • Knowledge of Data Automation - considered an asset
  • Experience with PowerPoint and Google suites – considered an asset
  • Time management and ability to prioritize and re-assess schedules and tasks quickly and effectively
  • Familiarity or working knowledge of AI Tools such as Google Looker, Gemini, Notebook LM etc
  • Some knowledge of finance and accounting would be an asset

 

Activities: 

  • Working with internal and external customers
  • Participate in resolving customer, supplier, and internal quality issues promptly and efficiently
  • Working alongside customer quality engineers to support various projects and customer quality complaints
  • Facilitates weekly quality review meetings
  • Participating in corrective action problem solving situations

 

Physical Demands, duties of this position are varied and will include:

  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment with exposure to manufacturing environments.
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
  • Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
