Summary

As a Processes & Applications Advisor, you are a strategic specialist who serves as the bridge between global supply chain strategy and daily site operations. You will focus on supporting operations and driving continuous improvement (CI) and process optimization across our global SCM ecosystem. Tackling problems of diverse scope, you will apply your expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, supply chain operations, and IT systems to design future-ready processes. This role offers high autonomy, requiring you to lead project teams, mentor staff, and influence stakeholders to ensure global operational excellence.

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Lead continuous improvement (CI) initiatives utilizing Lean and Six Sigma frameworks to drive process efficiency across single or multiple manufacturing sites.

  • Participate in the global CI community to share insights, capture operational lessons learned, and document standardized best practices across the organization.

  • Facilitate requirement-gathering workshops to align global business objectives with site-specific manufacturing workflows and translate user needs into technical specifications.

  • Architect end-to-end e-Business solutions to streamline transactional data and deliver collaborative solutions between Celestica, Customer, and Supplier teams.

  • Consult with Information Technology (IT) partners as a designated specialist to deploy integrated business applications aligned with Celestica procurement procedures.

  • Oversee process governance by collaborating with IT to implement automated data-monitoring protocols that ensure operational alignment with corporate compliance frameworks.

  • Advise executive leadership on systemic process constraints, risk-mitigation strategies, and actionable optimization plans based on rigorous data analysis.

  • Guide and develop department business analysts to elevate technical competencies, resolve system defects, and drive independent project execution.

  • Develop strategic training frameworks and certification programs tailored to regional needs to ensure seamless system rollouts, specifically targeting procurement and quotation applications.

  • Leverage scalable training methodologies, including computer-assisted modules, to streamline the learning process and support change-management initiatives.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Continuous Improvement Expertise: Demonstrated command of Lean, Six Sigma, and specialized process optimization methodologies and measurement systems.

  • Requirement Gathering Mastery: Proven capability in leading structured discovery workshops, aligning cross-functional stakeholders, and defining system integration criteria.

  • Supply Chain Domain Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of global business environments, manufacturing business operations, material planning, order entry, MRP architectures, logistics, and supply chain financial metrics.

  • Systems Integration Proficiency: Strong knowledge of IT concepts, complex database workflows, and integrated enterprise application design.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Exceptional facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to resolve complex challenges through organizational influence.

  • Advanced Analytical Capabilities: Ability to isolate, evaluate, and resolve intricate process or system failures using financial, analytical, and statistical modeling tools.

  • Prioritization & Task Management: Strong capability to evaluate, prioritize, and problem-solve a variety of complex tasks to ensure timely and accurate execution.

  • Instructional Design & Training: Competency in adult education techniques and instructional methodologies required to deliver technical training programs.

Typical Experience

  • Six to eight years of progressive professional experience focusing heavily on continuous improvement and process optimization within a global supply chain or systems integration environment.

Typical Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, Materials Management, or an equivalent combination of education and related industry experience. (Note: Educational requirements may vary by geography).

  • Black/ Green belt lean six sigma certification recommended.
