Summary

Position Summary

We are seeking a high-caliber Senior/Director Test Engineering to lead our comprehensive validation efforts for next-generation AI Servers and Networking products. This is a critical leadership role based in our Penang HPS facility, responsible for overseeing multiple specialized test functions, including Signal Integrity (SI), System Integration Testing (SIT), and Reliability.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned technical leader with a deep understanding of AI hardware architecture and high-speed networking design. You will be tasked with managing a large, multi-disciplinary validation team, driving continuous process improvements, and ensuring our products meet the highest standards of performance and stability before reaching the global market. 

Detailed Description

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Direct and oversee the end-to-end validation strategy for AI server platforms and networking hardware, ensuring alignment with global product development milestones.
• Functional Oversight: Provide technical and managerial guidance across diverse test domains:
• Signal Test: High-speed digital characterization (PCIe Gen 5/6, DDR5, Ethernet 400G/800G).
• SIT (System Integration Test): End-to-end hardware/software integration, stress testing, and functional validation.
• Reliability: Environmental stress screening (ESS), MTBF validation, and thermal/mechanical endurance testing.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and scale a large engineering team. Foster a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and proactive problem-solving.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in the test lifecycle and implement automation, advanced telemetry, or lean methodologies to increase test coverage and reduce time-to-market.
• Crisis Management & Issue Solving: Act as the primary point of escalation for complex technical blockers. Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and collaborate with Design and BIOS/Firmware teams to implement long-term fixes.
• Stakeholder Management: Coordinate closely with Product Design, Supply Chain, and Global Quality teams to ensure seamless transition from NPI (New Product Introduction) to volume manufacturing.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 15+ years of experience in Server or Networking product design/validation, with specific exposure to AI/High-Performance Computing (HPC) architectures.
• Proven track record of managing large engineering teams (30+ members) and delivering complex projects on schedule.
• Hands-on experience with high-speed signal integrity tools, network protocol analyzers, and reliability testing standards (JEDEC, MIL-STD, etc.).
• Exceptional command of English; strong executive presence; ability to influence cross-functional partners.
