Summary

The roles and responsibilities of this position encompass"build-to-print"; commodities, with a
primary focus on supplier qualification, supplier quality performance, localization project
management, First Article Inspection (FAI) and Material value proposition (MVP).

Detailed Description

  • Manage the supplier identification and qualification process activities
  • Prepares engineering calculation, design change proposal, review customer drawing
    and technical specs, propose design recommendation
  • Analyze supplier quotes and bids
  •  Part qualification, Tooling qualification
  • Participate in driving the supplier quality performance management e.g., DPPM, SQIP
    etc.
  • Document and maintain the records of NPIs (FAI, PPAP documentations)
  • Any other activities related to department requirement

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Technical Tools: Strong understanding of engineering and quality tools, including
    GD&T, DFM, FMEA, and GR&R.
  • Manufacturing Knowledge: Hands-on experience with sheet metal and machining
    processes, as well as a good understanding of secondary processes (e.g., plating,
    powder coating, anodizing).
  • Design Software: Proficiency in mechanical design software such as SolidWorks or
    Creo.
  • Industry Standards: Knowledge of ISO 9001/IATF 16949/AS9100 quality management
    systems.
  • Project & Problem Solving: Familiarity with project management processes, alongside
    strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in
    writing.
  • Travel: Willingness and ability to travel overseas as required by the role.

Physical Demands

  • Duties of the position are performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, hazardous substances, etc.
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
  • Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.

Typical Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, -Mechanical/Mechatronics/ Manufacturing /Materials
    engineering
  • 2-3 years of related experience in engineering, manufacturing, quality management and
    SCM discipline preferred or equivalent of combination of experience
