Summary

The Manager, IT Site Services oversees a medium site and provides leadership to the IT Applications, Shop Floor, Infrastructure, and Endpoints teams. Provides business process and technical expertise to teams that are responsible for assessing, designing, delivering and supporting IT solutions to clients and customers. The Manager, IT Site Services will also have the experience and responsibility to ensure that solution team members that are external to IT or even Celestica will also provide quality input and deliverables in a way that meets Celestica's overall goals and requirements, and will need to manage relationships and negotiate and resolve conflicts when necessary.  The Manager, IT Site Services will have the knowledge and experience to establish goals and strategies in areas of specialty, and make or guide decisions that steer the overall team activities in the established strategic direction.

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Support and communicate with stakeholders, including IT/Business Partners as well as external/internal communities for opportunities and or alignment of solution strategy
  • Support in providing solution architecture as well as guidance in the selected area of responsibility (e.g. Shop floor, MES, IT, SCM, Ops, etc.)
  • Provide direction and guidance in IT Process (e.g. Operating Model, Governance, System Development Life Cycle)
  • Support in providing guidance on relevant technologies and concepts (e.g. Azure, Cloud Tech, .NET, Java, SAP/ABAP, B2B, EDI, etc.)
  • Perform technical execution of business solutions, including requirements gathering, blueprinting, development, and deployment.
  • Support and develop operational reports and dashboards on Power BI and Reporting Services.
  • Manage a team of permanent and contractor IT staff, performing tasks including onboarding, offboarding, training, IT Infrastructure, IT Applications, and Cyber Security activities.
  • Oversees budgets and investments for a medium to large site
  • Perform and support change management activities

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Strong knowledge & experience in IT process (e.g. operating model, governance, IT delivery lifecycle)
  • In-depth knowledge of data analysis and ability to resolve complex process/system problems using financial, analytical, and statistical models.
  • Good understanding of IT requirements for an end to end solution, including security, business continuity, disaster recovery, Risk analysis and prepare Business Case.
  • Strong knowledge & experience in select business processes (e.g. Shop floor, IT, SCM, Electronics Manufacturing, After Market Services, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge & experience in relevant technologies and concepts (e.g. SAP, ERP, MES, xAAS, .NET, Java, SQL, Azure, Power BI, Google Suite, Reporting Services, B2B, EDI, etc.)
  • Strong ability to make or guide decisions, and drive team actions in accordance with strategy.
  • Strong problem solving & analytic skillset, with an ability to innovate.
  • Strong Customer relationship management and negotiations skills.
  • Strong knowledge & experience in Agile and Waterfall development/project methodologies
  • Advanced knowledge of IT architecture strategies
  • Advanced leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Advanced Project Management & Planning skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and human resource management skills.

Physical Demands

  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
     

Typical Experience

  • 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in similar roles with a least 4 years within manufacturing and preferably 1+ years within the Electronics Manufacturing Services or Contract Manufacturing Sector.  Experience working with and negotiating with from shop floor thru to senior management and also with customers and suppliers.

Typical Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
