Summary
The Project Manager within CCS Business Operations drives the planning, governance, and execution of strategic projects and operating initiatives across CCS. The role provides structured project controls, executive-level communication, and disciplined follow-through to help executive leadership maintain visibility, alignment, and momentum across the business.The position partners across Solutions Architects, GCUs, Engineering, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and other functions to establish clear objectives, ownership, milestones, dependencies, risks, and measures of success. In addition to core project-management responsibilities, the role will accelerate practical AI adoption across the business and lead the evaluation, implementation, and adoption of project-management and collaboration tools that improve transparency, efficiency, decision-making, and business outcomes.
Detailed Description
Project Planning, Governance, and Delivery
Translate strategic priorities into structured project plans with clear scope, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, owners, and success metrics.
Coordinate cross-functional execution across CCS Business Operations and partner teams.
Track progress against schedule, resources, risks, dependencies, and commitments.
Establish fit-for-purpose governance, including operating cadence, status reporting, decision forums, and change control.
Identify emerging risks/issues and drive mitigation, escalation, and resolution with key stakeholders.
Support project initiation (business case, outcomes, scope) and formal closeout (lessons learned, handoffs, documentation).
Project Management and Executive Operating Support
Support the Vice President in prioritizing, managing, and coordinating CCS Business Operations initiatives.
Maintain a consolidated view of portfolio health, risks, decisions required, and resource considerations.
Prepare concise, decision-oriented executive summaries, leadership updates, and coherent business reporting.
Highlight trade-offs, gaps, and required interventions to facilitate timely executive decisions.
Manage documentation, version control, and accessible centralized repositories.
AI Adoption and Business Enablement
Coordinate initiatives to introduce and scale practical AI use cases across CCS Business Operations.
Partner with stakeholders to identify high-value AI opportunities that boost productivity, quality, speed, and insights.
Develop rollout plans for AI pilots, covering use-case definition, stakeholder alignment, training, and value tracking.
Establish adoption metrics and feedback loops to measure usage, risks, and business impact.
Promote responsible AI adoption in alignment with technology, security, privacy, and legal standards.
Document reusable best practices to enable repeatable AI adoption across the organization.
Project-Management Tool Evaluation and Adoption
Lead structured evaluations of PM, collaboration, and workflow tools based on business requirements.
Assess usability, integration, governance, security, scalability, and overall business value.
Coordinate tool pilots and proof-of-concept implementations, including configuration, training, and feedback collection.
Develop implementation and change management plans to drive sustained tool adoption.
Automate manual status collection, improve visibility, strengthen accountability, and speed up decision-making.
Meeting Management and Follow-Through
Schedule and facilitate project meetings with clear agendas, pre-reads, decision requests, and target outcomes.
Capture and promptly distribute decisions, action items, owners, and due dates.
Drive action-item closure, escalating unresolved or aging blockers with recommended next steps.
Process Improvement and Project Controls
Establish repeatable, PMP-aligned project management practices and controls across CCS Business Operations.
Streamline workflows and information flows using PM, automation, and AI-enabled tools.
Maintain auditable project records to support decision-making and organizational learning.
Translate lessons learned into continuous process improvements.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Lead through influence in a matrixed, geographically distributed environment.
Drive clarity when objectives, ownership, priorities, or timelines shift.
Build productive relationships across project teams, functional leaders, vendors, and external partners.
Foster proactive communication, constructive problem-solving, accountability, and execution excellence.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
Required Qualifications and Experience
● Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects, initiatives, or workstreams in a complex, cross-functional environment.
● Experience developing project plans, schedules, governance routines, status reports, risk and issue registers, dependency tracking, and executive updates.
● Demonstrated ability to coordinate stakeholders, manage commitments, and drive follow-through without direct authority over all contributors.
● Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise, decision-oriented messages.
● Demonstrated experience preparing executive presentations, business-review materials, meeting content, and decision documents.
● Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, including presentation and spreadsheet applications.
● Experience using project-management, collaboration, workflow, automation, or AI-enabled platforms.
● Ability to manage competing priorities, operate effectively with ambiguity, and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
● PMP, CAPM, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent project-management certification.
● Experience supporting senior leaders and managing strategic initiatives.
● Experience leading technology implementations, tool evaluations, process digitization, or organizational change and adoption.
● Experience identifying, piloting, implementing, or scaling business applications of AI.
● Experience in technology, electronics, data-center infrastructure, hardware, software, manufacturing, business operations, or solutions development.
● Experience working with geographically distributed and cross-functional teams.
● Familiarity with Celestica’s product development, customer-engagement, business-review, or CCS operating processes.
Physical Demands
- Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment
- Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data
- Repetitive manual movements are frequently required (e.g. data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc)
Salary
The stated range includes Base Salary and target Short-Term Incentive (STI) compensation only. A comprehensive benefits package is offered in addition to this range.
The range described in this posting is an estimate by the Company, and may change based on several factors, including but not limited to a change in the duties covered by the job posting, or the credentials, experience or geographic jurisdiction of the successful candidate.
Salary Range: CAD 109,000 - CAD 173,000
