Summary

We are looking for a collaborative, innovative legal professional to oversee the entire contract lifecycle from drafting and negotiation to issue management to agreement expiration. You will identify and mitigate potential risks associated with our many commercial agreements to maximize profitability. You will become part of our global, experienced, and revered team that ensures not only compliance with regulations, laws and company policies but who also works together to improve themselves and its processes to ensure successful customer interactions. You will also work cross-functionally with Sales, Business Segments, Manufacturing Sites, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance, which will give you a broader sense of how our company teams together to achieve our goals. Your decisions and influence will directly impact the company’s trajectory and bottom line.

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Draft, negotiate and manage commercial and U.S Government agreements, NDAs, and other related legal agreements
  • Provide contractual/legal direction and guidance to business segments and manufacturing sites with input from Celestica’s functional departments. (e.g. Supply Chain, Finance, Ops) in executing and supporting the performance of customer contracts and other agreements (e.g. licenses, inventory agreements).
  • Work with the customer account teams and legal counsel (Celestica & customer) and interpret legal advice; turning it into business advice and practice.
  • Make key decisions with respect to balancing the need, in order to be customer-responsive, with that of protecting (risk management & profitability) Celestica’s interests.
  • Integrate Celestica's Contracts Management and best practices across Celestica (subsidiaries and affiliates) worldwide.
  • Contribute to Corporate Contracts policy.
  • Enable Celestica’s compliance with applicable U.S regulations, including but not limited to, FAR, DFARS, EAR, ITAR and other relevant requirements.
  • Evaluate and prioritize often divergent interests of Celestica and the customer.

Physical Demands

  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
  • Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.

Typical Experience

  • At least ten years of applicable experience in commercial contract law, U.S law, U.S. government contracting regulations (FAR/DFARS), U.S trade compliance regulations, and  U.S. government compliance systems (CAS, DFARS Business Systems,etc.).

Typical Education

  • J.D. or LLB degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary

The salary range described in this posting is an estimate by the Company, and may change based on several factors, including by not limited to a change in the duties covered by the job posting, or the credentials, experience or geographic jurisdiction of the successful candidate. Salary Range: 139,376-217,822 Annually.

Location: This is a remote position, with travel as necessary. We are open to considering candidates close to any of our US locations in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Texas, Arizona, Oregon or California as well as locations near major airports such as the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest and Pacific Coast.
