Summary

The Corporate Strategy team works with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and other senior leaders across the company to shape Celestica's strategic direction and deliver profitable growth. This team is responsible for managing the company's strategic planning process, assessing market opportunities and threats, recommending and prioritizing actionable growth strategies and investments, defining and executing business transformations, and driving mergers and acquisitions that advance the company's objectives. Strong preference will be given to candidates based out of the greater San Francisco area.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct all activities related to strategic investment in early-stage technology companies
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify and screen new investment opportunities in the green energy sector
  • Manage and document meetings with entrepreneurs, portfolio companies and handle deal flow
  • Develop and maintain relationships with potential deal sources and key partners in the venture ecosystem
  • Work with the sales and account teams to conduct assessments of early-stage companies
  • Identify and analyze new business models and technologies to determine value creation opportunities
  • Build ongoing and ad hoc reports on performance of investments

Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of total experience with at least 2 years in investment banking, venture capital, or private equity
  • Experience in conducting due diligence with strong financial analysis and modeling skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Familiar with the venture ecosystem, and demonstrated passion for entrepreneurship and new technologies that will shape the future
  • Strong attention to detail and comfortable to work in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Capable of managing multiple simultaneous deals and discussions

Location: This is a remote position, with travel as necessary. We are open to considering candidates close to any of our US locations in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Texas, Arizona, Oregon or California as well as locations near major airports such as the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest and Pacific Coast.
