Expertise in sales and relationship management; applies expertise cross-functionally. Work is guided by broad objectives and corporate policy. Incumbents oversee extremely complex, or multiple complex projects, including cross-functional projects where a high degree of judgment and independence are required in developing solutions and resolving unusual problem situations. Develops and evaluates plans and criteria for a variety of projects. Incumbents are widely known internal authority within their account base. Erroneous decisions may have a serious impact on the overall corporate revenues. Works on programs or projects that impact future programs or technologies. May lead a global functional area or project team with significant impact on company results, or may be an expert in their field, providing ideas, opinions and advice to others. Acts in conjunction with Business Development to determine new global methods and procedures. Builds cross-functional relationships where persuasive skills, and considerable tact are required to gain support. Interfaces with senior managers on issues related to the area of expertise. Provides advice that influences the direction and strategy of the company or business unit. Maintains positive relationships with key customers, etc., who have a significant impact on the success of the organization. Accountable for overall relationship management within assigned accounts.
Detailed Description
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following
- Maintains a minimum revenue accountability (a personal sales quota).
- Acts as the primary sales interface for several accounts on a regional basis.
- Responsible for identifying the influencers and key decision makers within the account and establishing/maintaining close relationships with them.
- May provide regional sales coverage for a Global Customer Unit or Leadership Customer Unit.
- Develops account strategies in conjunction with BD team members and executes tactics.
- Investigates potential new accounts and opportunities within the account or region.
- Ensures that the minimum revenue objectives for the assigned territory are achieved.
- Acts as the Customer advocate to ensure that the organization remains customer-focused.
- Delivers quotations and RFQ responses to customers.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
- Extremely strong communication, interpersonal, relationship management and professional sales skills.
- Strong reporting skills, as well as, time and priority management skills
- Strong strategic planning and execution skills
- Strong team management skills and high level of ability to work with others as part of a cross-functional team.
- Some electronics knowledge/background is essential
- Knowledge and experience in the sales of Services is critical.
Physical Demands
- Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
- Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
- Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
- Frequent overnight travel is required.
Salary
The stated range includes Base Salary and target Short-Term Incentive (STI) compensation only. A comprehensive benefits package is offered in addition to this range.

Salary Range: $131K-160K base
Typical Experience
- Eight years of applicable sales experience
Typical Education
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (preferably in Business or Engineering), or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
