Celestica's Technical Organization is looking for experienced system architecture engineering professionals to help define and build our next generation networking platforms: like data center switch, router, optical transportation, etc. The right candidate will play a key role in the design and development of our next generation network product for our key customers in the carrier and hyper scale area. She or he will be responsible to drive front end customer discussion, solicit the requirements, and influence customer decision, etc


The ideal candidate has a hardware design background with networking products experience in the areas of terabit switch, router and optical transportation area, 10/40/100/400/800G gigabit interfaces, and embedded CPU subsystems. They will have previous experience in high speed digital design, as system hardware engineer in the networking field. This includes architectural definition, specification, key component selection, detailed board and FPGA design, working closely with PCB designers, mechanical designer, thermal and SI engineer to fix the architecture definition and guide the architecture to be implemented as well.


Candidates should be able to accommodate up to 30% business travel within the US and Asia. Candidate must be freely able to enter China.

- Experience troubleshooting with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and specialized test equipment such as PCI analyzers and in circuit-emulators
- Taking products from concept to mass production
- Prior experience developing FPGAs for HW control/monitoring
- Experience with embedded software and networking operation system
- Experience with AC/DC PI for board design
- Experience interfacing with outside vendors and developers, experience within ODM is a plus
- Experience to collaborate with cross-functional operations teams, including Design team, sales team, Operations Engineering, Commodity - Management, Supply Chain, Quality and Materials teams to manage the design programs successfully.
- Experience to drive front end customer discussion, solicit the requirements, and influence customer decision 
- Experience to collaborate with different supplier partners to assembly product solution
- A self-starter and strategic thinker with excellent oral/written communication skills
- Self-driven and results oriented
- Excellent verbal and communication skills,  good verbal and written communication skills, must be organized
- Strong Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and effective presentation skills
- Mandarin is a plus


- 10+ years experience in hardware board and systems development
- Experience with Ethernet switching fabrics, Ethernet PHY and SerDes interfaces, embedded CPU subsystems, DDR2/DDR3/DDR4 memory design, network processors, I2C, USB
- Experience with high-speed PCB design: 10G/25G/56G/112G
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering. Masters degree would be preferred.


** This is a Remote US position to be preferably based out of the San Francisco Bay area or the West Coast of the US. **
