Summary
Candidates must be local to Texas, USA and reside in the Fort Worth, Richardson, DFW area. Incumbents are fully qualified to execute job/role accountabilities working independently on most aspects of the job. Work is performed within established professional standards and practices. Tasks are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required to complete recurring assignments independently and to determine the best methods to follow to complete assignments. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results may have a negative impact on the divisions/departments operations, schedules, and/or performance goals. Works under general Supervision. Builds internal and external relationships, with emphasis on those that facilitate the achievement of job/role accountabilities, such as relationships with key suppliers, customers and internal service.
Detailed Description
End-to-End Processing: Owns the end-to-end processing of Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs) daily, acting as the primary enterprise system operator using platforms like SAP.
Contract Analysis: Analyzes vendor contracts to accurately determine if a PR/PO needs to be created, ensuring all operational details align with agreement terms.
Agreement Monitoring: Proactively monitors large-scale maintenance, construction, or operational service agreements from inception to completion to ensure continuous contract coverage with zero gaps in service.
Supply Continuity Support: Supports the site SCM buying teams in times of product shortage or suppliers not meeting performance requirements, including escalation within the supplier and alternative source development/recommendations.
Issue Resolution: Supports customers to resolve quality, serviceability, and performance-related issues for products or operational activities.
Metrics & Reporting: Consolidates, tabulates, analyzes, and reports on various commitment and performance metrics.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
- Experience: 2–4 years of general construction or facilities industry knowledge.
- Systems: SAP requirement is mandatory, along with strong systems skills in common office platforms such as MS Office and Access.
- Core Procurement: Deep knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures, with the ability to analyze vendor contracts for transactional execution.
- Working knowledge of the marketplace conditions for the area of specialization including industry pricing, technology, and supply/demand trends.
- Basic understanding of specific customer needs.
- Good communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines.
- Ability to evaluate, prioritize, and problem-solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
- Ability to consolidate, manipulate, and analyze large quantities of data.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Any international facilities certifications (e.g., IFMA, FMP, CFM) are a plus.
Physical Demands
- Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
- Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
- Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
