Summary

First full level of specialization; applies expertise in more than one area of specialization. Receives guidance primarily on unique, unusual, or controversial problems or questions. May lead a work group or project team consisting of one or more support staff and/or tech/professional staff with some coaching from own supervisor, or may provide advice and guidance in area of specialty. Seeks out new avenues for building internal and external relationships; maintains contacts with existing relationships.

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Develops and documents new processes in the area of Supply Chain processes including Vendor Management, Procurement, Reverse Logistics management, ideally in ITAD industry or AMS depot supply chain. 
  • Provides direction to team on process enhancements.
  • Reviews and updates existing processes and provides direction to the team on implementing process enhancements.
  • Participates in the evaluation, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of specific SCM business processes including cost savings and cycle time reduction.
  • Provides ongoing support in resolving process/execution issues with both internal and external customers.
  • Manages requests for support/service and develops processes to meet customer demands and ensure satisfaction.
  • Leads in the rapid identification, analysis, and resolution of problems to ensure the minimum interruption to the team's work.
  • Develops tools for tracking of measurements and performance.
  • Monitors activities of the team against defined objectives, reports on achievements and proposes ways in which performance can be improved. Trains and mentors new employees in the department.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Knowledge of computer applications such as WORD, Excel, PowerPoint and multiple business applications
  • Ability to design/create queries and understands what creates the output
  • Preferred expertise in spreadsheet macros, advanced skills in Excel or Reporting tools such as PowerBI
  • Experience in Process Automation - Machine Learning/RPA
  • Strong experience in ERP systems such as SAP, INFOR, BAAN, ORACLE, ideally in Reverse Logistics, AMS or ITAD industries
  • Strong experience in procure to pay flows in an electronics supply chain, ideally in complicated multi vendor outsourced partner environment
  • Ability to design custom queries in job-related software.
  • Understanding of the relationships between the various tools.
  • General understanding of internal/external customer needs is required to make effective/informed decisions
  • Analytical and statistical skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines.
  • Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion.
  • Understands and can apply corporate policies
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
  • Ability to recommend a process changes based on intimate knowledge of processes, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to direct others
  • Ability to prepare a forecast for one element of the business (cost center, profit center, pricing forecast or key balance sheet component)
  • Ability to bridge between actual, plan, forecast and bids, analyzing mix impacts and summarizing in management reports.
  • Provides interpretation of results to users.
  • Understands the inter-relationships between departments and actively participates in cross-functional teams.

Physical Demands

  • Duties of this position are performed in a manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to elements such as noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, etc.
  • Duties may require periodic sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Above demands are carried out within the local existing Health and Safety guidelines

Typical Experience

  • Six to eight years relevant experience.

Typical Education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Educational Requirements may vary by Geography

Notes

The preferred candidate does not need to reside in Richardson, TX. However, candidates outside of Texas may expect up to 25% of travel (both domestic and international).
