Summary

Incumbents apply in-depth knowledge in a specific area of specialization. Work is guided by general policies and segment objectives. Works on problems of varying scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors and a considerable degree of judgment. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results may have a negative impact on the site’s/segment’s operations, schedules, and/or performance goals. Works under minimum Supervision. Seeks approval from others on matters outside of job/role scope. Receives guidance on specific assignment objectives and possible solutions. Unusual problems are solved jointly with manager. Work is reviewed for application of sound business practices. May lead a work group or project team consisting of technical and support staff. Builds internal and external relationships, with emphasis on those that facilitate the achievement of job/role accountabilities, such as relationships with customers and internal service organizations.

 

The successful incumbent is preferred to be located in Texas.

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Drives and supports quote activity within business segment in collaboration with the Business Office and/or Sales team
  • Manage two or more projects of medium complexity (technology, organizationally). Lead cross-functional, global core team(s), kick off programs, establish schedules and drive meetings
  • Works with senior Business Development (BD) team members to develop bids, proposals and presentation packages for customers
  • Acts as a liaison to coordinate the efforts of the AMS, IT, SCM and site teams
  • Present and communicate status to the business leaders and customers.  Reviews and interprets customer documentation
  • Applies knowledge to support the team with strategy and tactic development
  • Interfaces with Business Office and customers to compile, develop, validate, and communicate repair/shipments plans that support overall business goals
  • Performs customer forecast rollups for the business segment
  • Ensure alignment in strategies and tactics in order to win and grow business
  • Communicate the site capabilities (technology, capacity, etc.) to the Sales/BD team members
  • Reports indirectly to the AMS GM and site GMs, keeping them up to date on all opportunities, win/loss information and business forecasting
  • Participates in customer tours of sites

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

Technical Skills:

  • Broad knowledge of an electronic manufacturing environment, materials and processes
  • High level of proficiency with spreadsheets, flow charting, and presentation software (MS Office - Excel, Powerpower, Visio)
  • Strong knowledge of SCM and manufacturing processes and ERP applications is a preference
  • Experience with CAD software is a preference
  • Strong administration, prioritization, and logistics/coordination skills.
  • Some background in complex problem management and resolution

Physical Demands

  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
  • Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
  • Overnight travel may be required, 10-25%.
    Travel requirements will vary depending on candidate's geographical location

  • 4+ years' experience

Typical Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    Engineering disciplines and Supply Chain Management are preferred

Location: This is a remote position, with travel as necessary. We are open to considering candidates close to any of our US locations in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Texas, Arizona, Oregon or California as well as locations near major airports such as the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest and Pacific Coast.
