Summary:
The Specialist, IT Solutions will engage with site business functions to identify and advocate business process improvement opportunities through the use of IT solutions. Collect, analyze, develop, document and communicate business requirements, and work with various IT teams to develop and deliver solutions. Provide support and user training on selected systems (for example SFC, ERP and local applications). Participate in IT projects in various capacities, including project coordination and management.

Celestica site location is deploying a custom version of an application called SpectrumPro which is the primary tool to be used by the engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain teams and requires a full-time resource to support it! This is a great opportunity to join our strong IT team at an Analyst level and grow in your professional career with a dynamic company where people enjoy what they do. This team is partnered with the Business on all levels. The role requires someone who is highly organized, with exceptional communication skills and enjoys providing top shelf support.

 

The IT Application Analyst provides functional support of the SpectrumPro application provides desktop & PC support as needed and identify opportunities to improve how the system supports the Business. Celestica provides training on SpectrumPro.

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Support MES Application 24x7 in all the factories (Bayside, Warm Springs).
  • Support MES Operations- support any operational issues caused by user errors or application issues.
  • Support MES uptime 24x7- required to be available on a phone call or text message from the monitoring teams.
  • Support MES Releases- Release Management and Deployment.
  • Trains end user trainers, support and maintenance personnel.
  • Interface with the Factory Associates, Business Analysts to ensure that they are trained/educated on the MES features.
  • Interface with the MES Dev team to communicate to them the issues, resolve the issues.
  • Interface with other critical teams supporting manufacturing like ERP (SAP), Production Control, PLM, SysAdmins, Database Team.
  • Develops design specifications based on user requirements
  • Develops prototypes; codes, tests, debugs and documents programs.
  • Defines and develops systems plans, models and solutions.
  • Prepares test data and test methodologies. 
  • RDBMS Knowledge and SQL/T-SQL/PL-SQL experience (Oracle/MS-SQL/SQL) is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of front end programming languages including but not limited to: JavaScript, C#(.NET), and/or Python

Experience: 

  • Three to five years

 

 Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
