Summary
The Business Development Consultant, Customer Experience Center (CEC) will be tasked to lead complex cross-functional projects in support of driving new joint CCS and ATS business for Celestica.
This person will act as the customer advocate for the CEC, supporting various Celestica teams and identified customers, qualifying and driving new business opportunities that intersect across the CCS and ATS segments.
You will forge cross-functional relationships where persuasive skills, negotiation skills, and considerable tact are required to gain support. You will also maintain positive relationships with key Celestica customers who have a significant impact on the success of our business.
You will act as a key business interface with customer executives and Celestica business owners on issues related to business development and business management for key customers. Interactions commonly involve controversial situations, negotiations, and influencing and persuading executives internally and externally. You will also be accountable for overall strategic business management within your assigned domain.
This position will require close collaboration and alignment with other business units including but not limited to: CCS’ Hardware Platform Solutions (HPS) team, sales, marketing, engineering, and customer account teams in both the CCS and ATS segments.
Detailed Description
This candidate will perform tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
- Acts as the strategic business interface for multiple accounts on a global basis
- Accountable for understanding customer strategy and direction in the 1-3 year timeframe for targeted customers across the CCS and ATS segments
- Develops strategies and tactics which Celestica will use to win, protect and grow business with the customer
- Develop and present tailored customer presentations and proposals reflecting Celestica’s value proposition
- Provide direction, guidance and support to the Sales and Operations teams to ensure alignment with the strategy and execution of the tactics developed for those accounts that are within scope
- Advises on execution of contract terms and conditions
- Ensures that all customer proposals are complete, accurate, on-time & consistent with the overall account strategy, representing Celestica’s overall business interests
- Liaising with staff in other departments, e.g., HPS, finance, HR, Sales, Marketing, Engineering for both the CCS and the ATS segments
- Participate in core planning, marketing, sales enablement and sales operations activities in support of new business opportunities

Physical Demands
- Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
- Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
- Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
- Frequent overnight travel may be required
- Duties of this position may require working very long hours for months at a time.
Typical Experience
- 8 to 12 years of relevant professional experience
Typical Education
- Bachelor’s Degree (MBA, graduate degree and/or technical degree preferred)

Notes
When not traveling, in-office at the CEC in San Jose, CA three to five days per week.
Travel 10% to 25% primarily within North America with some intercontinental (Europe, Asia)
