Detailed Description
The Presentation Designer's core responsibility is to transform complex ideas, technical content, and data into clear, persuasive, and visually compelling PowerPoint presentations. This role combines design with strategic storytelling to create decks that drive alignment and action while ensuring brand consistency under tight timelines. This is a temp-to-hire role and requires two days per week in the office.
Summary
Core Responsibilities:
- Strategic Storytelling: Develop end-to-end narratives aligned with business goals; turn raw inputs into clear storylines.
- Visual Design: Translate complex information and data into impactful visual stories using layouts, graphics, icons, and animation.
- Brand Management: Develop and maintain bespoke templates and master slide systems; ensure strict adherence to brand guidelines.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (Marketing, Product, Leadership) to optimize content clarity and narrative structure.
- Data Visualization: Convert quantitative and qualitative data into digestible visuals like infographics and frameworks.
- Technical Excellence: Expert-level proficiency in PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong portfolio demonstrating executive-level presentation design and strategic storytelling.
- Advanced command of layout, typography, color, and visual hierarchy.
- UX mindset with the ability to structure information for easy understanding.
- Experience simplifying complex content and managing senior stakeholders.
- Ability to operate under pressure and deliver high-quality work on short timelines.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in enterprise, SaaS, or solutions engineering environments.
- Proficiency in using motion and animation to support narrative meaning.
- Familiarity with accessibility best practices for presentations.

- Strong knowledge of Celestica and the EMS industry
Physical Demands
- Duties of this position are generally performed in good working conditions.
- Occasional exposure to elements such as noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, etc.
- Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
- Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Salary
The stated range includes Base Salary and target Short-Term Incentive (STI) compensation only. A comprehensive benefits package is offered in addition to this range.
