Summary

The Engineer, Test Manufacturing accepts, transfers, installs, improves and maintains automatic test equipment and test programs that are used for product testing and design verification. They also may support the test development of the test equipment and processes to ensure robust and high quality test solutions and final products are realized.

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

• Unassisted, define, specify, qualify, install, support, and optimize test process and test equipment solutions for manufacturing.            
• Lead test process optimization, with a focus on productivity improvements to cycle time and yield for a broad set of test equipment within an Operations value stream.          
• Debug of test process and equipment solutions using design of experiments, tools, and failure analysis methodologies.
• Develop and implement technical solutions in two or more technical areas. Lead smaller projects and may coordinate other engineers including reviews of their work.
• Reviews and interprets customer documentation, conducts appropriate research, analysis, and experiments with minimal direction from senior staff.
• Creates technical proposals (solutions and timelines) based on requirements.
• Create product test requirements with guidance from senior staff and collaboration with customer designers
• Provides Technical program management for small projects.
• Develop production test strategies based on the product design specification with customer designers.
• Design and develop test solutions including hardware & software elements, and then system integration, qualification, and installation to meet product, quality, and test requirements outlined in the test plan.
• Debug of tester issues using design of experiments, tools, and failure analysis methodologies
• Execute all validation/qualification requirements by applying statistical and common industry methods
• Stabilization of Test Solutions for manufacturing, working to optimize with process teams, focusing on cycle time and yield.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

• ​​​​Familiarization with Test Equipment (e.g , Power Supply, Measurement Equipment, RF Equipment) > 3 years.
• Experience with HP, Agilent, and Keysight equipment is an advantage.
• Knowledge in Tester Buy-off (GR&R), Calibration, and Preventive Maintenance > 3 years.
• Knowledge in Programming (e.,g TE.NET, Visual Basic, Labview, C++, SQL) is an advantage.
• NPI Experienced from Setup to Manufacturing Released.
• Knowledge in Networking and Server Management (Windows and Linux)
• Knowledge in Antivirus setup and implementation (Symantec / Crowdstrike)
• Experienced in Customer engagement.
• Knowledge in Station Uptime, Spare part management, Equipment Calibration, and Preventive Maintenance activity.
• Knowledge in Minitab and SPC is an advantage.
• Able to work and deliver an assigned Project within a given timeline with less supervision.
• Able to work under pressure and has very good time management skills.
• Very good written and verbal communication skills (adaptive to Western English communication).

Typical Experience

• 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in Test Engineering

Typical Education

Bachelor degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
