Summary

The Materials Program Management acts as the critical link between internal operations and the customer. You will be responsible for synchronizing production and shipment schedules with broader business objectives, ensuring supply continuity, and managing the supply chain relationship to drive customer satisfaction.

Detailed Description

  • Partner with the Business Office, Production, Procurement, and Planning to build and validate production plans that align with company goals.

  • Engage in Master Planning reviews and execute procurement strategies derived from the MRP process.

  • Collaborate with the planning team to evaluate customer change requests, assessing both financial impact and operational feasibility.

  • Secure alternate sourcing options to mitigate risks and ensure customer cost targets are maintained.

  • Serve as the primary supply chain point of contact for the customer, resolving internal and external conflicts promptly.

  • Collect and share customer feedback with the internal team. Lead initiatives for continuous improvement and communicate Clear To Build (CTB) and Assurance of Supply (AOS) action plans.

  • Directly manage AOS and CTB protocols to prevent production delays.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Comprehensive knowledge of global supply chain dynamics, corporate strategic objectives, and the supplier/customer landscape.

  • A strong grasp of the customer’s specific business model, organizational structure, and product lines.

  • Proficient in the Engineering Change Note (ECN) process and highly skilled in using data systems to compile professional customer-facing reports.

  • Ability to apply critical judgment to performance metrics to determine high-priority actions.

  • Exceptional ability to translate complex SCM activities into clear updates for both internal stakeholders and customers.

  • Proven success working across departments (Buying, Planning, Operations) and performing CTB simulations or scenario modeling.

  • Prior experience with SAP or Kinaxis RapidResponse is a significant advantage.

Typical Experience & Education

  • 6 to 8 years of experience specifically in material planning and procurement.

  • Industry Context: Experience within a Contract Manufacturing (EMS) environment is highly preferred.

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent blend of formal education and hands-on professional experience.
