Summary
We're looking for a Test Manufacturing Engineering Manager from the EMS Industry to lead a team responsible for the acceptance, transfer, installation, improvement, and maintenance of automated test equipment and programs for product testing and design verification. You'll also support the development of robust test solutions and high-quality final products.
Detailed Description
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
- Drive test process optimization to boost productivity, reduce cycle time, and improve yield within our operations.
- Define, qualify, install, and optimize test processes and equipment for manufacturing.
- Debug test processes and equipment using design of experiments and failure analysis.
- Collaborate with Quality, Process, and Equipment engineers to resolve product and test yield issues.
- Develop improvement roadmaps for test coverage, diagnosability, reparability, test time, and OEE.
- Analyze data from yield reports, equipment logs, and product diagnostics to identify sources of loss.
- Support process engineers in enhancing defect detection as part of our Process Control plan.
- Integrate test equipment with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), including yield and parametric data.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally in Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS).
- Proven experience in Production Operations across SMT, AOI, 5DX, ICT, High-Level Assembly, and Test.
- Strong knowledge of Process methodologies (FMEA, PDCA, Lean, Six Sigma) and Quality standards (ISO, IPC-6010).
- Expertise in RF troubleshooting (Oscilloscope, Network Analyzer, Signal Generator, etc.) and RF Assembly and Testing.
- Familiarity with Power Supply and Measurement Equipment (Agilent/Keysight experience a plus).
- Solid experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) Process and Methodology.
- Proficiency in PCBA troubleshooting for Analog, Digital, and RF Boards.
- Ability to interpret schematic diagrams, assembly drawings, and component data specifications.
- Track record of driving yield improvement for process, component, or tester-related defects.
- Experience with RMA and Failure Analysis / Processes.
- Exceptional mentorship and supervisory skills for a team of ~20 Test and Debug Engineers/Technicians.
- Strong customer engagement experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills for customer and vendor discussions.
- Very good time management and multitasking abilities, excelling in both Test/Product Engineering SME and people management roles.
